𝐔𝐂𝐂-𝐒 𝐏𝐒𝐘𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐘 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐓𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 𝐊𝐈𝐂𝐊-𝐎𝐅𝐅 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆

New beginnings, fresh start, and upcoming “pasabog” projects! The Psychology Society formally starts the academic year 2026-2027 with its first Kick-Off Meeting! 🎉🤸🏻‍♀️

This 𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝘆, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the newly elected officers, along with the PsychSoc adviser, Ms. Lennie J. Nucom, have gathered to discuss administrative work ethics, organizational goals and objectives, and thrilling plans set for the department for the upcoming school year. Preparation for the internal welfare of the department and the organization has been laid out by Kareena Lyn C. Cantilang, the VP-Internal, while the practical strategies involving external affairs have been presented by Rona Mae J. Libarra, the VP-External. To solidify these objectives, a SMART and WISE-oriented calendar of activities has been tackled with the team by the President, Charmaine Angeline C. Marinay.

To make the day even more memorable, the officers took part in an official photoshoot for the unveiling of the newly elected officers, which will be revealed in a separate post soon, so stay tuned! 🤫📸 Behind the captured great moments is the effort and dedication of Gabriel Salvador. Special thanks for the documentation and hard work in making the photoshoot possible, as well as for continuously making the Psychology Society become more visible and connected to the psychology community!

All in all, the Kick-off Meeting served as an excellent chance for the officers to engage, collaborate, and begin building a stronger and more active Psychology Society in the department. These arrangements set for the upcoming school year are anchored in two practiced principles: 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙨.

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘇𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴-𝐀𝐋𝐏𝐀𝐒, 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲! 🎓

In psychology, the concept of time is not limited within the ticks of the arms of an analog, nor the dictated numbers of a digital. In this vast study of the psyche, time is completely 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀. Subjective, non-linear, and unexpected. Faster when you’re delighted, slower when you’re distressed. And unlike objective measurement, it is one that flows, disrupts, and sometimes… stops.

For our Ates and Kuyas of the Batch 2026, the ride was like this “time.” From the Binyagan which welcomed them in outrageous ways, the sets of Mental Health Awareness Week celebration which stood as venues for their continuous fights toward the empowerment of mental wellness, the consecutive Psych on Stage pageants that showcased talents beyond the classroom to being successfully pinned as Psychology Interns and at last: publishing a book compilation of their research studies centered on real-life Filipino themes.

The journey to the mortarboard was not always certain. It cost doubts, fears, and questions. But the people who shared every bit of these memories with them were to be kept for a lifetime. May your traces of resilience from the Binyagan, teamwork built during the MHA Weeks, cheers of belief in POS, tears shed for the Pinning Ceremony, and purpose found in conducting Filipino-Psyche research be the historical answers to when doubts come knocking asking “why”.

College is where we begin to pursue our dreams, but graduation is where we start to pursue others’. And like the concept of psychological time, the journey forward may feel fast, slow, or stagnant. But the tassel you turned is a testament to how success is possible, and its meaning depends solely on 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀.

For the upcoming Psychology Society Elections, below are the available positions and their corresponding eligible year levels!

And for those who are interested in running, here are the qualifications:

A student shall be eligible to run for any position depending on the specific year level provided, as long as they are:

2.1 an incumbent Psychology Society officer;
2.2 a class officer of their respective section;
2.3 an elected committee head under the Psychology Society;
2.4 a committee member under the Psychology Society;
2.5 did not resign, was not deemed unfit/rejected for failing to fulfill duties during their term, and is not an irregular student.
