BFAR vessel BRP Datu Magat Salamat was rammed by China Coast Guard vessel “21585” off Palawan on this Friday, while delivering fuel supplies for the fishermen.

The collision cause damage on BFAR vessel’s starboard side, including railings, metal supports, deck fixtures. Vessel equipment were bent, detached or displaced.

Pati sa habang nagsasalita si DND Sec. Gilbert 'Gibo' Teodoro, Jr. sa Seoul Defense Dialogue (SDD) 2026, nagbigay ng kapirasong papel ang China upang sabihin lang na hindi nila tinatanggap ang 2016 arbitral Ruling.

Binasa ni Sec. Gibo ang papel at sinagot niya ng diretsuhan ang mga pahayag ng China. Sinabi pa niya na "Maging disente naman kayo ng kaunti. Mahiya naman kayo ng kaunti."

Philippne Army Captain Conrad D. Yap will receive the posthumously award, the Taegeuk award -a highest military honor given by South Korea to a military personel.

Captain Conrad Yap was a Philippine Army officer who participated during the Korean war in the 1950s.
