This month, we are celebrating Laity Month with our theme:

As we continue reflecting on this week’s focus:

Tonight is another opportunity to slow down, examine our hearts, and allow God to renew and transform us.

May tonight’s worship and reflection strengthen our faith and remind us that our membership vow is not simply something we profess, but something we embody through the way we live, serve, love, and follow Christ. 🌿❤️

NINETEENTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST | WORSHIP SERVICE ✨

This Sunday, we gather as one church family for our Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost and World Communion Sunday as we begin our Laity Month celebration with the theme:

❤️ LOVE BOLDLY: Embracing and Embodying Our Membership Vow

Our focus this Sunday is:
🙏 REPENTANCE AND RENUNCIATION:
Turning From Evil

As we begin Laity Month, we are reminded that our membership vow is more than words we speak. It is a commitment to follow Christ faithfully and to embody our faith through the way we live, serve, and relate to others.

This Sunday invites us to pause and examine our hearts. Repentance calls us to turn toward God, while renunciation calls us to turn away from evil and the things that keep us from fully following Christ.

Our Scripture focus from Philippians 3:4b to 14 reminds us of Paul's desire to know Christ more deeply and to continue pressing forward in faith. His journey reminds us that following Christ requires letting go of what holds us back and continuing toward the life God calls us to live.

As we come to the Communion Table, we remember that we are part of one body and one faith. World Communion Sunday reminds us that Christians around the world gather at the same table, united by the grace of Jesus Christ. 🍞🍷🌍

May this Sunday be a time of reflection, repentance, renewal, and recommitment.

May we have humble hearts that are willing to acknowledge our mistakes, turn away from evil, receive God's grace, and choose to walk faithfully with Christ.

As members of Christ's Church, may we embrace and embody our membership vow not only inside the church, but also in our homes, workplaces, communities, and everyday lives.

Church Family, let us come together this Sunday with open and humble hearts as we worship, receive God's Word, and share in Holy Communion with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

May we continue pressing on toward Christ, leaving behind what keeps us from Him and faithfully embracing the calling He has given us.

As we come to the Lord’s Table with Christians around the world, we are invited to examine our hearts, turn away from what separates us from God, and renew our commitment to faithfully follow Christ.

May these songs remind us of God’s faithfulness and invite us to surrender our hearts to Him.

May we have the courage to turn from evil, the humility to seek God’s grace, and the willingness to embody our calling as members of Christ’s Church.

As we gather around the Communion Table, may we remember that although we come from different places and backgrounds, we are one in Christ.

Let us worship with humble hearts, renewed faith, and a sincere desire to press on in our journey with Christ.

KAISA: PAGKALINGA, PAGBABAHAGI, AT PAGMAMALASAKIT ❤️

Last Saturday, September 26, 2026, the Tala United Methodist Church family came together once again through our Kaisa Feeding Ministry, sharing not only food but also love, care, and hope with our community. 🍲🤝

“Kaisa” reminds us that ministry becomes more meaningful when we come together as one.

Through this simple act of feeding, we were given the opportunity to live out the values of pagkalinga, pagbabahagi, at pagmamalasakit. Every meal shared, every helping hand, every smile, and every moment spent together became an expression of God’s love.

🍚 Pagkalinga - caring for the needs of others.
🤲 Pagbabahagi - sharing what God has entrusted to us.
❤️ Pagmamalasakit - seeing others with compassion and responding with love.

We are grateful to everyone who helped make this ministry possible: our volunteers, donors, church members, and everyone who gave their time, resources, energy, and hearts to serve.

Your generosity reminds us that even simple acts of kindness can bring joy, encouragement, and hope to others.

As a church family, may we continue to be a community that does not only speak about God’s love, but also puts that love into action.

May Kaisa continue to remind us that we are called to walk together, serve together, and care for one another.

Because when we become Kaisa, no act of kindness is too small, no helping hand is insignificant, and no expression of love is ever wasted. ❤️

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” - Galatians 6:2

❤️ CELEBRATING OUR BELOVED LOLO’S AND LOLA’S ❤️
National Grandparents Day Celebration | September 13, 2026

Last Sunday, September 13, our Tala United Methodist Church family joyfully celebrated National Grandparents Day by honoring and giving thanks for our beloved Lolo’s and Lola’s. 👵👴

Our grandparents hold a special place in our families and in our community. Through the years, they have shared their love, wisdom, stories, prayers, sacrifices, and countless lessons that continue to shape generations.

They remind us of the beauty of a life lived with faith, perseverance, and love.

During our Sunday Worship Service, we had the privilege of recognizing our beloved grandparents and giving them simple tokens of appreciation. 🎁❤️ Though these tokens may be simple, they represent something much greater: our gratitude for the love, care, prayers, and presence they have shared with their families and with our church community.

To our Lolo’s and Lola’s, thank you for being sources of wisdom and encouragement. Thank you for the stories you share, the prayers you offer, the lessons you teach, and the love you continue to give so generously.

Your lives are a testimony that faith is passed from one generation to another. Through your example, many have learned the importance of trusting God, caring for family, serving others, and remaining faithful through every season of life.

As we continue our Christian journey together, may we never forget the importance of honoring those who have gone before us and learning from their experiences. May we also continue building a church community where every generation is welcomed, valued, cared for, and given opportunities to share their gifts.

📖 “They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green.” - Psalm 92:14

May God continue to bless our beloved Lolo’s and Lola’s with strength, joy, good health, peace, and many more meaningful years surrounded by the people they love. May the Lord continue to use their lives and testimonies to inspire younger generations to know Christ, follow Christ, and serve Christ.

Thank you for being a blessing to your families and to the Tala UMC family.

May we continue to love, honor, listen to, care for, and appreciate our grandparents not only on this special occasion, but every day.
