In celebration of Women’s Month, Soroptimist International of Silangan with PNP WCPD Vanessa David renews its unwavering commitment to empower women and young girls and to stand firmly against Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC).

Violence—whether physical, emotional, psychological, or economic—has no place in our homes, our communities, or our society. Every woman and every child deserves to live in safety, dignity, and freedom. Silence must never protect abuse. Awareness, courage, and collective action must protect victims.

Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, Soroptimist International of Silangan continues to champion the rights of women and girls—ensuring that their voices are heard, their rights are upheld, and their futures are protected.
This Women’s Month, let us move beyond awareness and take a stand. Speak up. Support survivors. End the cycle of violence.

Empowered women empower communities. Together, we can break the silence and stop VAWC.

🌟🌟January 13, 2026🌟🌟
Soroptimist International of Silangan successfully conducted its Dream It, Be It (DIBI) program, attended by 445 students from Grades 10–12.
This year’s DIBI was more than a standard career guidance activity.

It became a shared empowerment journey for both students and young faculty of MCU Basic Education. Faculty members stepped beyond the classroom to navigate the program alongside the students, serving as speakers and co-facilitators. In the process, new talents emerged, confidence was unlocked, and leadership skills were strengthened on both sides.

Students were happy, engaged, and active throughout the discussions and sharing sessions—asking questions, voicing dreams, and reflecting on their personal goals with enthusiasm.
At its heart, Dream It, Be It is about helping young people define their dreams, overcome obstacles, and create a clear path toward their future.

By combining mentorship, real-life insights, and peer support, the program reminded every participant that their dreams are valid, achievable, and worth working for—especially when guided by empowered educators and a supportive community.
