Today, we were privileged enough to take part in an enlightening and inspiring seminar that confronted some of the most relevant issues concerning today's youth โ anti-drugs, street gangs, and the Anti-Rape Law. The activity reminded us that awareness is the very first step towards transformation, and that our every voice, especially as a student, really counts.
The seminar began with a clear message: ๐บ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐
๐๐๐๐. We learned the harm that drug abuse can do, not only to oneself but also to one's family, friends, and community. The speaker held a firm stance that drug abuse can ruin dreams, chances, and even lives. It was a reminder for us to be vigilant and make the right decisions โ resist temptations and take the correct road towards a better future.
Then, we learned about the increasing problem of ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐. It was surprising to learn how vulnerable youth can become to pressures or be swayed to join these groups. The presentation made us appreciate the true risks involved in thinking you are part of a gang โ violence, crime, and missed opportunities. We were reminded of the fact that real belonging does not stem from fear or peer pressure but from real friendship, respect, and common goals. The speaker asked us to create a community of kindness, unity, and responsibility in which no one needs to turn to gangs just to be accepted.
The last segment of the seminar was the Anti-Rape Law โ a ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ผ๐๐ and ๐ถ๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ matter that both men and women should know. We discussed Republic Act No. 8353, which identifies r**e and provides protection for victims with heavy punishment for offenders. This topic enlightened us on how ๐๐ง๐๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ก ๐ง๐๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ฉ, ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐จ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ, ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐๐จ๐จ๐๐ค๐ฃ are. It reminded us that no human being ever deserves to be violated and that fighting against abuse is not only courageous but also essential. We should defend ourselves and others who cannot defend themselves.
The session was full of We were made to understand that these subjects are not merely laws or regulations โ they are values lessons about being human and being responsible. The initiative nudged us to be more mindful, make the correct decisions, and contribute to making a safer school and society.
We are grateful to our guest speakers and our school for arranging this seminar. They took time, imparted knowledge, and effort from their side, and with that, taught us that prevention starts with education, and that our voices do matter โ the voices to say no to drugs, no to violence, and no to abuse.
In the end, we left with more than just new information. We left with a new sense of purpose. We are the youth, and we have the power to change. Let's keep using our voices for good โ because together, we can build a safer, stronger, and more loving world.
