LOOKBACK: Unearthed Treasure of one of the Lady Founder of Tau Gamma Sigma Sorority.

Sis Rosemari Declaro Carandang.

A college scholar for four semesters, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of the Philippines. From the same university, she obtained her Bachelor of Laws graduating salutatorian of the class and Cum Laude in 1975.
She garnered 9th place in the 1975 Bar examinations.

*In December 1993, she was appointed Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court of Manila, Branch 12, serving also as one of its Vice-Executive Judges. She was appointed Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals in March 2003, serving the Court for over 15 years until her appointment to the Supreme Court of the Philippines.

**Carandang has also taught law at the Philippine Christian University and the Manuel L. Quezon University - School of Law.

**On November 26, 2018, President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Carandang to the Supreme Court. Carandang retired on January 9, 2022, when she reached the mandatory retirement age of 70.

DELUBYO ang inaasahan dahil malakas na ulan at hangin ang inaasahang tatama sa Metro Manila, Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, Southern Luzon at Bicol Region

TIGNAN: Malapad ang sakop ng kaulapan ng binabantayang bagyo (pre- ) na nasa labas pa ng Philippine Area of Responsibility na kayang hagipin ang buong mainland Luzon.

Nananatiling mataas ang tsansa itong aabot ng SUPER TYPHOON category 🟣 sa mga susunod na araw, ayon sa PAGASA.

Kung sakaling magiging super bagyo, asahan ang malawakang pinsala 🟥 sa maraming lugar sa Luzon - depende kung saan dadaan ang alimpuyo (eyewall) at ang mata (eye) ng bagyo.

Remembering: A devastating typhoon that hit the Philippines in 2013 is known as Super Typhoon Haiyan or Yolanda.
It caused widespread destruction and loss of life, particularly in the Visayas region.

The storm made landfall on November 8, 2013, with maximum sustained winds of 235 km/h and gusts of up to 275 km/h.

Death Toll: Over 6,000 people were killed, with many more injured or missing. More than 4.1 million people were displaced, with many forced to flee their homes.

The storm caused extensive damage to infrastructure, homes, and agriculture, with estimated losses of around $2.15 billion.

The international community came together to provide aid and support to affected communities, with organizations like the United Nations and World Vision playing key roles in relief efforts.
