This International Womenโ€™s Month, the world celebrates the power women hold, the courage they embody, and the resilience they carry through generations. Being a woman is already extraordinary but it goes beyond that. It lives in the history women continue to shape every single day. Brave stories of countless battles, beautiful memories of solidarity and sisterhood, and proud moments of hard-earned triumphs. Women are truly remarkable.

We also honor LGBTQ+ women who have been an extraordinary force in society by breaking norms and proving that womanhood is beyond labels, beyond limitations, beyond societyโ€™s narrow definitions. Women can be anything: an artist, an athlete, a drag queen, a businesswoman, a supermodel, an activist, an advocate, a lawyer, a mayor, a host, an actress, a beauty queenโ€”and everything they aspire to be, all at once.

Forty years ago, along EDSA, nearly two million Filipinos came together in the historic People Power Revolution. Their peaceful protest led to the ousting of former President Ferdinand Marcos and helped bring back democracy in the country.

Today, we remember their courage and unity. We honor the strength it took to stand up and fight for freedom.

Valentineโ€™s Day can mean different things to different people. For some, itโ€™s flowers and candlelit dinners. For others, itโ€™s late-night calls with friends, dinner with family, or simply choosing to rest and take care of yourself.

Love isnโ€™t just the grand, movie-like moments. Itโ€™s the โ€œkumain ka na ba?โ€, the shared moments, the quiet support when things get heavy. Itโ€™s in the people who stay. Itโ€™s in the spaces where you feel safe. Itโ€™s in the small ways we show up for each other every day.

The โ€œfactory resetโ€ trend may look harmless at first, but for many in the LGBTQ+ community, it echoes narratives that have caused real harm for years.

Calling identity a โ€œphase,โ€ treating being โ€œstraightโ€ as the default, or suggesting that someone needs to be โ€œfixedโ€ reinforces stigma, erases bisexual and pansexual experiences, and crosses personal boundaries.

These ideas donโ€™t stay online. They affect how q***r people are treated in classrooms, at home, and in everyday spacesโ€”often forcing them to explain, defend, or shrink who they are just to be accepted. Our identities are not glitches to be corrected. They are real, valid, and worthy of respect.
