Happy Scouting Month!

On Monday, October 6, 2025, Christ the King College of Calbayog City Inc. held its very own ceremony to open Scouting Month 2025! With both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts in the event, students from Elementary, Junior High, and Senior High School presented their yells and showed the true essence of Scouts.

It’s finally time for us to showcase our creativity, independence, and commitment to scouting! This is the month made for scouts eager to serve and lead the community.

At the break of dawn, the CKC Girl Scouts of the Philippines proudly joined the Dawn Parade to mark the opening of Scouting Month 2025. Carrying this year’s theme, “Once a Girl Scout, Always a Girl Scout,” the girls marched with pride, symbolizing the enduring spirit of leadership, service, and sisterhood that scouting instills. May this celebration remind us that the values of scouting are not just for today, but for a lifetime. 💚🎗️

As true daughters of the movement, they stand firm in the Girl Scout Promise:
“On my honor, I will do my duty to God and my country,
to help other people at all times,
and to live by the Girl Scout Law.” 🌿

Escoda Memorial Ceremony 🙏🌟

Today, September 22, 2025, the CKC-JHS Girl Scouts, along with the CKC-SHS Girl Scouts, held the Escoda Memorial Ceremony, which was all about commemorating the legacy of GSP’s founder and mother, Mrs. Josefa Llanes Escoda. During the ceremony, the Girl Scouts offered flowers and candles, and some even offered donations such as cash.

Mrs. Josefa Llanes Escoda, also known as “Lola Pepa,” played a significant role in her time, as she held leadership roles in organizations and was also one of the women who provided help to soldiers during the war.

In this ceremony, girls spoke about Mrs. Josefa’s life and remarkable achievements that paved the way for the formation of our beloved organization—the Girl Scouts of the Philippines—which proves how empowered women and sisterhood live on through her hard work, dedication, and commitment to recognizing women, their capabilities, courage, and service.

Your legacy will live on, Lola Pepa!💚🌟

Troop Leaders’ Day! 🌟

Yesterday, we recognized the unwavering support, guidance, and service that our troop leaders show and contribute to the community daily. They are not only the source of knowledge but also the ones who develop our abilities, make us discover our capabilities, and push us to be the best version of ourselves.

Through their guidance, young women and all students are shaped in discipline, courage, and confidence.

The CKC-JHS selected Girl Scout officers gave out tokens of appreciation for their passion, service, and dedication that leads young people forward, thus leaving a lasting impact on the lives they have touched.

September 14, 2025 | 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆! 🙏

The CKC-JHS Girl Scouts took part in the opening of Girl Scout Week by attending the Sunday Mass for the Faith Day. The Girls in Green showed the true meaning of faith by offering praises and gifts during the mass. This has been a great practice that signifies unity, devotion, and hope.

Indeed, this organization teaches us to not only lead with conviction and kindness but also spread hope and faith into the community.

Happy Girl Scout Week! ✨️💚

Girl Scout Week is a week-long celebration commonly held in September every year. This has been a tradition, as we celebrate it to recognize and acknowledge the founder of our beloved organization, Mrs. Josefa Illanes Escoda. Mrs. Escoda made a legacy by empowering women during her time, and her legacy lives on today, as it continues to grow in the advancing world.

Every year, the organization prepares a variety of activities that empower young women to grow in faith, unity, and movement.
