CALBAYOG, Philippines โ€” Yesterday, September 21, was the International Coastal Clean-up Day wherein several organizations from San Policarpo NHS, including the Citizenship Advancement Training officers, gladly took part in cleaning the coastal areas in Aguit-itan, Calbayog City.

The clean-up drive sought to promote the maintenance of cleanliness in our surroundings, establishing a healthier environment for us to thrive and unite towards clearer skies and tomorrows.

September 21, 2024, Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) is the world's largest volunteer effort for ocean's health and is being conducted every third Saturday of September of each year. This year's theme "Be part of the solution to ocean trash and " where people unite together in conserving the cleanliness of our coastlines towards a shared goal for a cleaner, bluer, and greener future. Armed with gloves and trash bagsโ€”together we'll protect our surroundings. Everyday, we should be responsible with our waste and properly disposing it, these small actions can create a greener impact to our environment.
