SOS PILIPINAS CELEBRATES NATIONAL AND LOCAL YOUTH COUNCIL INDUCTION

SOS Children's Villages Pilipinas celebrated the voices, leadership, and contributions of young people during the National and Local Youth Council Induction and Youth Month Celebration 2026, held online via Zoom on August 15, 2026.

One participant shared a reflection that captures the spirit of the celebration:

“Being part of the Youth Council gives us the opportunity to speak up, share our ideas, and make a difference. It reminds us that our voices matter and that we can be part of creating positive change.”

𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡, 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬

Youth voices become stronger when they are given the space and support to take action.

The Youth Organization of SOS Children’s Village Calbayog was among the 14 youth organizations that received a ₱20,000 financial grant from the City Government of Calbayog during the awarding held on September 1, 2026, following the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026.

We are grateful to Hon. Raymund “Monmon” C. Uy and the Calbayog City Youth Development Office for recognizing and supporting the efforts of young people who continue to take part in community service and youth-led initiatives.

Thank you for believing in the potential of our young leaders. May this support help turn their ideas into meaningful action for the community.
