𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗗 | 𝗣𝗘𝗘𝗥 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The student leaders and peer facilitators of 𝗦𝗲ñ𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. - 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲 (𝗣𝗙𝗖) recently participated in the 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, held on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟲 at the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 - 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻. Hosted by the 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗬𝗣𝗢), the workshop focused on the theme: “𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽.”

Among the attendees representing STC were PFC Adviser & Guidance Advocate Ms. Christine C. Sandoval, RPm, PFC President Nariquil Ann D. Liquiran, PFC Secretary Charina H. Reyes, along with two (2) Media Com, one (1) Programming Activities and three (3) PFC Supporting Members. Together, they joined student leaders and peer facilitators from different colleges in Pangasinan.

The event featured an engaging and interactive discussion led by guest speaker, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗗. 𝗟𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗯𝗮𝗼. She reminded us of the importance of these events, saying, “𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒑 𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒕𝒉 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒔.” She also emphasized that regardless of our background, “𝑨𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒃𝒆 𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒅𝒗𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉.”

Through these sessions, our peer facilitators who also serve as student leaders gained a clearer understanding of their roles. As the speaker noted, the core of peer counseling is: “𝑾𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏, 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒓.” We aren’t there to give unsolicited advice; we are there to truly hear them. We learned that while peer support provides student-to-student emotional support, it is not therapy and can never replace professional counselors.

The workshop concluded with interactive sessions where the team practiced acting as counselors, counselees, and observers. This hands-on experience gave an opportunity to assess and improve the skills of our peer facilitators in active listening, crisis management, and empathetic communication.

𝐒𝐞ñ𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐜. joins the nation in observing 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵. To celebrate, we shared specially prepared 𝒂𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 filled with empowering messages of appreciation, encouragement, and recognition for all the amazing women in our academic community.

𝐒𝐓𝐂 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 took place from 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟗 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. A seminar is one of the key activities which was held last 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟐 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞ñ𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐜., 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨-𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 (𝐀𝐕𝐑).

This event was made possible with the full support of our school management: 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘈𝘥𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐨 𝐂. 𝐂𝐨𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐚, 𝐉𝐫.; 𝘈𝘤𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐕. 𝐓𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧, 𝐂𝐏𝐀, 𝐌𝐁𝐀; 𝘎𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚. 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐥, 𝐑𝐏𝐦; 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮 𝘊𝘰𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐌. 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐚, 𝐋𝐏𝐓.

The seminar was spearheaded by Ms. Sandoval and Mr. Narnola, with the 𝐒𝐓𝐂: 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞.

- "Discovering Beauty with Avon"

The seminar featured very timely and relevant topics. In celebration of 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, we are deeply grateful to 𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐧 for their initiative in bringing "Discovering Beauty with Avon" to our school. 𝐌𝐬. 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚 led the inspiring discussion, followed by a makeup demonstration by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Meanwhile, since we now live in a fast-paced digital era, we also explored how technology is revolutionizing the way we learn and work. The second topic, "Artificial Intelligence in Education," was expertly discussed by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐌. 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐬.
