The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) advises the public to take the necessary precautions against possible ashfall caused by the recent eruption of Kanlaon Volcano.

Volcanic ash consists of very fine particles of rock that may pose health risks, reduce visibility, damage electronics and machinery, and disrupt essential services such as electricity, water supply, and communications.

The public is advised to wear a face mask, preferably an N95 or KN95 mask, when going outdoors; stay indoors as much as possible; keep doors and windows closed to prevent ash from entering homes; limit unnecessary outdoor activities; prepare emergency supplies; and monitor updates from official government sources.

PGBh encourages everyone to remain calm, stay vigilant, and follow official safety advisories to protect themselves, their families, and their communities.

Stay safe, Boholanos!
