Pilipinas Associations of Rural Farm Schools for Education and Development (PARFED) holds its Family Farm School Pedagogy training, Annual General Assembly and Board meeting on May 20-23 at Caritas Academy in Tagaytay.
Participants come from 8 Family Farm Schools/Rural Farm School from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao namely Dagatan FFS, Balete FFS Malaruhatan Family Association, Jalajala FFS, Di**le FFS, Gelacio I. Yason Foundation-FFS, SANIEL Integrated Farm Business Technologial School and Malabuyoc Rural Farm School.

Board of Trustees: President- Mina Cabugao Ballesteros, Vice President- Woodrow Denuyo, Secretary- Fernando Villanueva, Jr., Treasurer- Alberto Maramot, Auditor-Serafin Malecosio, Jr.

We wish to thank the Caritas Philippines through Rev. Father Tito Caluag, Ms Joan Bautista Macario and Land Bank of the Philippines for sponsoring our events. Good day!

In compliance with RA 10618 known as an Act of Establishing Rural Farm Schools as Alternative Delivery Mode of Secondary Education otherwise known as Rural Farm Schools Act and in adherence to DepEd Order No. 36, s. 2015, the Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 10618, the Department of Education’s Bureau of Learning Delivery (BLD) shall conduct the three (3)-day Interagency Conference of Rural Farm School (RFS) Stakeholders on September 4-6, 2024 in Tanza, Cavite.

The conference aims to support the MATATAG agenda to:
1. Ensure access to education of learners who are at risk,
2. Take good care of learners by promoting learner well-being, inclusive education, and a positive learning environment
3. Take steps to accelerate the delivery of basic education facilities and services
In this connection, we would like to invite (3) representative/participants from your office to discuss and share experiences, initiatives, strategies, and best practices in the implementation of the Rural Farm Schools. The knowledge and expertise that you are going to share will be advantageous for us to achieve the ultimate objectives of the Program and further develop an ADM One-Stop-Shop School Policy for RFS.

Participants are expected to arrive at the venue before the workshop commences at 10:00 AM on Day 1. The first meal will be breakfast of Day 1 and the last meal is PM snacks on Day 3. Participants are advise to pre-register through this link http://rb.gy/fetmfi.

Board and lodging and travel expenses shall be charged against the 2023 ADM Funds subject to the usual government accounting and auditing rules and regulations. Participants to this activity shall pre-register through this link

Travel expenses shall be reimbursed through direct payment, upon submission of the letter confirming attendance, approved Authority to Travel, Itinerary of Travel and photocopy of Landbank ATM card.

The Angaras are supportive to FFS, we are optimistic that Sec Angara will continue his support to us through the financial subsidy for private FFS. We should schedule a visit to him, PARFED people.

What an inspiring conversation with Sir Woodrow who is starting a community-led Family Farm School in Cebu. After retiring from DepEd, this progressive-minded former superintendent says he can do more in helping the indigent communities improve their lives through the FFS. Reminds me of our humble beginnings with Ninong Boy Yason. Their association just applied to establish a family farm school and they consulted with PARFED, our federation of FFS. Adelante Sir Woodrow and colleagues.
