In celebration of the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Don Bosco Youth Center โ€“ Canlubang gathered in prayer through the Holy Rosary, the Holy Eucharist, and a Taizรฉ Prayer service.

In the silence of prayer, the beauty of sacred chants, and the presence of the Eucharistic Lord, we were invited to rest in the Heart of Christ, a Heart that loves without measure, forgives without end, and calls each of us to holiness.

May the Sacred Heart of Jesus continue to kindle in our hearts the fire of faith, hope, and charity.

Thank you for sharing a part of your journey with us. Thank you for the countless moments, conversations, laughter, stories, prayers, and simple acts of presence that made a difference in ways you may never fully realize. What you gave us was more than your time. In your own unique ways, you made DBYC feel warmer, lighter, and more alive. What more, you welcomed us, journeyed with us, believed in us, and reminded us that we always had a place here. Some of our favorite memories were not necessarily the big events or programs, but the ordinary moments we shared with you; the random conversations, the laughters during the oratory, the words of encouragement when we needed them most, and the feeling that there was always someone willing to listen.

As you move forward to wherever God is calling you next, we want you to know that not only your presence has left a mark on us, but also the lessons you taught, the joy you shared, and the love you showed will continue to live on in the hearts of the young people whose lives you touched.

On the final day of the DBYC Leadership Camp 2026, our campers embraced the last stage of their journey. One characteristic of a good leader is that he/she is able to not only lead his/her community, but also serve every one of them. After days of seeking their purpose and allowing themselves to be shaped by God, they were challenged to answer a greater question: How will I use who I have become for others? ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

The day began with Plenary Session 2, followed by moments of reflection and sharing that encouraged the campers to revisit the lessons, challenges, and blessings they encountered throughout the camp. Leadership is not measured by recognition or authority, but by one's willingness to serve with humility, compassion, and dedication. ๐Ÿ™

As the camp drew closer to its conclusion, the Commitment Making and Ritual became a powerful reminder that growth carries responsibility. Piece by piece, the campers completed the puzzle that symbolized their journey, realizing that every individual has a unique role in building a stronger community. ๐Ÿคโœจ

The Closing Program celebrated not only achievements and memories made, but also the transformation that had taken place within each camper. What began as a gathering of young people became a community of leaders ready to make a difference. As the Holy Mass concluded the camp, everyone was sent forth with a mission: to bring what they had learned beyond the campsite and into everyday life. For leadership does not end when the camp ends, but truly begins when we choose to serve others with the gifts God has entrusted to us. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

On the second day of the DBYC Leadership Camp 2026, our campers entered the next phase of their journey. The morning started with prayer, Mass, and moments of reflection, as they were challenged to allow God to mold them into the leaders they are called to become. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

After this, the campers took on an Amazing Race, venturing throughout the subdivision and facing a series of challenges that tested not only their physical endurance but also their teamwork, communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Every station became an opportunity to learn that leadership is not about standing above others, but about working with others toward a common goal. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

The afternoon continued with small group sharing and preparations for Youth Night, allowing each team to deepen their bonds and express themselves through collaboration and creativity. The Encounter with the Salesians and Leaders offered valuable insights and life lessons, reminding the campers that leadership is not formed overnight but is shaped through service, perseverance, humility, and faith. ๐Ÿ™

As the day concluded with the Youth Night Bonfire and Despedida for the 2nd year Brothers, the campers symbolically surrendered their brokenness, fears, and burdens. In the warmth of the fire and the strength of the community around them, they discovered that even life's challenges can become tools for growth and transformation. ๐Ÿ”ฅโœจ
