TD Wishes all women a happy Women’s Month! Small throwback last November 7, 2025 at the Philippine Women’s University Calamba Laguna with their senior high school students. Talang Dalisay conducted a mental health advocacy workshop in partnership with Earl Lagustan and the National Teachers College to make this project for the students possible.

We had an amazing workshop and talk this day that truly enlightened the student community in Laguna. We are inspired by the people who shared their stories this day. Thank you to the students who taught us so much.

Thank you to Teacher Earl Lagustan and the Philippine National Teachers College for making this possible. This day was a great reminder of the women who made us who we are, and the women who made this university a reality for people. ❤️

Thank you for having us talk post show for “Ang Kaliitan Ng Kasalukuyan” yesterday! Thank you to the whole production team and cast and space for having us. It was an honor to speak with Sir Jo and alongside protagonist “Bulan” / actor .sandinomartin ❤️

This play is created directed and written by Palanaca Awardee for literature Arlo Deguzman. It is about OFW’s and the life of a Filipino abroad, shining light on mental health and navigating one’s life. If we learned anything it’s that we must learn that we can live our lives while serving others. Sometimes life is lived by doing and discovering and learning. Take the leap and not be afraid! There are no doors, only mirrors. It was a real real honor. Padayon! 📚

Why Cruelty Is Automatic to Us by Alyssa Danielle Navarro | Edited by Maria Nilad | Produced by Macy Castañeda Lee

“Survival over compassion: Why Filipinos act indifferent to tears
For more than a year, I was locked up in the cramped spaces of a rehabilitation center with 130 more patients. Indifferent to my tears, the counselors told me to stay on top of my emotions whenever I had a breakdown, as though feelings were a thing to be conquered.
I was released from rehab in October 2024. Though my life has been transformed quite a few times since, there is one truth I firmly believe in: we must practice compassion towards ourselves and others.
When faced with someone who is crying, how do you react? If someone sends you a message telling you they are not okay, do you turn them away and call them a burden?”

Under the Shade of a Narra Tree
By Kiana Amarnani | Edited by Maria Nilad | Produced by Macy Castañeda Lee

“How else would I know that summer is coming,
if not for the sweet citrus smell in the wind,
if not for the yellow petals falling like confetti on my hair.
The Narra tree I grew up under celebrated my every step,
on the first and last days of class, showering her pride around me.”
