A simple visit turned into a day full of warmth, laughter, and meaningful memories.🤍✨

Our 3rd Year Pharmacy students had the chance to spend time with the residents of Bahay ni Maria, sharing stories, smiles, and moments that reminded us how powerful compassion and presence can be.

Beyond the outreach activity, this experience became a reminder that caring for others is not always about grand gestures. Sometimes, genuine conversations, listening ears, and shared laughter are enough to make someone feel valued and loved.

Thank you, Bahay ni Maria, for welcoming us so warmly and for allowing us to create memories we will always cherish. This experience will continue to inspire us as future healthcare professionals. 💜

𝑼𝒈𝒏𝒂𝒚 𝑳𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒑 | 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝑩𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒚 𝒏𝒊 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒂 💊✨

What began as an outreach project became a meaningful experience of compassion, service, and human connection. Through Ugnay Lingap, the 3rd-year pharmacy students had the privilege of spending time with the elderly residents of Bahay ni Maria—sharing stories, smiles, laughter, and moments that will remain close to their hearts.

This initiative would not have been possible without the generosity and kindness of everyone who donated and trusted us to deliver tangible aid. More importantly, it allowed us to witness the power of compassion in action. Every contribution, whether big or small, helped us bring comfort and care to our elderly community.

As we move forward as future pharmacists, we are reminded that the heart of our profession is the people we serve. More than the donations given, this experience taught us that the greatest gift we can offer is our presence, compassion, and genuine care for others.

Together, we continue to build bridges of empathy, service, and hope.

As the Pharmacy Student Council, together with BS Pharmacy 3-1, visits Bahay ni Maria – Home for the Aged for 𝗨𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽: 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮, we bring with us not only our knowledge as future pharmacists, but also our time, compassion, and sincere presence 👩‍⚕️🤍

In a profession centered on promoting health and improving lives, we believe that care goes beyond medicines. Sometimes, healing begins with listening to stories, sharing laughter, holding a hand, and making someone feel remembered and loved 💖.

“‘𝘿𝙞 𝙗𝙖 𝙥𝙬𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙠𝙤 𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙖?” is a question many people are afraid to ask because they’re so used in putting everyone else before their own.

This 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, may we remind ourselves that constantly being strong can be exhausting too. Hindi naman masamang mapagod at hindi rin selfish ang magpahinga. It’s more than okay to spare yourself a time to breathe, heal, and calm your mind.

Because just like in Angela Ken’s song “𝘼𝙠𝙤 𝙉𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙖,” sometimes the hardest thing to admit is that behind every smile and “𝗼𝗸𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗸𝗼,” there are silent battles that deserves constant compassion, care, and understanding.

So if life has been heavy lately, let this be your sign to slow down. To rest without feeling guilty. And to remember that choosing yourself does not make you weak — it makes you human. ❤️‍🩹
