Art that Gives Back: Humanista Pantry Brings Hope to the Streets ๐จโจ
Yesterday, June 4, marked the successful first day of the โHumanista Pantryโ initiative in front of NU Laguna โ a community-driven effort led by the HUMSS and ASSH Council to extend support to local jeepney drivers amid rising fuel prices.
With warm smiles and heartfelt waves, students distributed essential goods such as rice, canned goods, and instant noodles to drivers passing by the area. These donations were made possible through the โArt for a Causeโ system, where artworks created by HUMSS students were exchanged for donated goods โ transforming creativity into compassion and service.
Every brushstroke became a symbol of care. Every donation became a gesture of solidarity. Every wave became a reminder that kindness moves communities forward.
As the initiative continues, the HUMSS and ASSH Councils remain committed to creating meaningful change and uplifting communities through collective action, empathy, and generosity. ๐๐
