In alignment with Kiwanis’ mission of serving the children of the world, the Kiwanis Club of Cainta Bayanihan, Div 3C-1 led by President Nancy Vianzon Julia NV participated in a gift-giving initiative to support children with special needs with the theme “Hearts that Care & Hands that Share”. The activity served a group of SNED (Special Needs Education) students from Pembo Elementary School, Taguig City. The goal was to provide thoughtful, incentive gifts while promoting inclusion, compassion, and community engagement.
The project was held on February 28, 2026 from 7:00 am to 9:00 am at Pembo Elem School grounds, in collaboration with the Pembo Elem School Alumni Association.
Activity Highlights include the distribution of gift packs tailored to recipients' needs, e.g., coloring books, crayons, face towels, biscuits, puzzle books, books, fruit juice, candies, etc. A short program featuring welcoming remarks was held, afterwhich an interactive games for the students with the assistance of the SNED teachers, awarding of the winners, and lastly, photo sessions. Packed foods were also provided to all the students, and their guardians.
Impact of the service include: 100% of loot gift bags, prizes for games were successfully distributed, families also expressed gratitude for the thoughtful acts, beneficiaries expressed happiness and appreciation for the gifts, and more importantly, this initiative strengthened the partnership between Kiwanis and the community.
The project successfully delivered joy, strengthened community ties, and reinforced Kiwanis’ commitment to improving the lives of children in need.
