September 16, 2026 - Gawad Kalinga Cagwait was honored to serve as 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗴𝘆𝗮𝘄 𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 / 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 / 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗚𝗣 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 Project Bagong Tahanan: A Sustainable Resettlement Program for Arangasa Island.

In this important space for dialogue, we helped bridge the Government and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) by facilitating the exchange of questions, concerns, insights, and recommendations from the community and CSO representatives.

More than simply moderating, we listened—because meaningful participation begins when people are heard, understood, and given the opportunity to be part of the solution. 💙

Through 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 (𝗢𝗚𝗣), Gawad Kalinga Cagwait continues to champion inclusive participation, transparency, collaboration, and people-centered governance—bringing different voices together toward a common goal: a better and more sustainable future for the people of Arangasa Island.

During the 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 of LGU Cagwait’s OGP Flagship Program - BAGONG TAHANANAN - 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, Gawad Kalinga took part in the participatory process through the presentation of the Fishbone/Ishikawa Map, workshops on problem identification and solutions mapping, and the mapping of actions for the OGP Flagship Program.

More than simply providing assistance, we believe in empowering people to become active participants in decisions that affect their lives. Through the principles of 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 (𝗢𝗚𝗣)—transparency, participation, and participatory governance —we encourage the people of Arangasa to share their voices, identify their needs, and help create solutions for their community.

When people are heard, communities become stronger.
When people are empowered, change becomes sustainable.
When we work together, we build a better future for Arangasa.

𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗡 - The Gawad Kalinga Cagwait Core Hub took an important step toward meaningful community participation through a consultative dialogue on September 12, 2026 with the Purok Arangasa Officials, GK Village Officers, and Purok Arangasa residents in preparation for the upcoming 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 (𝗢𝗚𝗣) 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺.

This initiative provides an opportunity to listen, understand community needs, gather valuable insights, and strengthen collaboration among residents, community leaders, and stakeholders.

Through open conversations and collective action, we reaffirm our commitment to the values of transparency, accountability, inclusivity, and citizen participation.

Together, we can build communities where every voice matters and where people are empowered to become active partners in creating positive and lasting change. 🏘️
