“The mind of Christ looks beyond differences and chooses love.”

Look around today, society is quick to cancel, divide, and build walls. Even as a church, it’s so easy to get caught up in winning arguments instead of winning hearts. But last Friday at TJL Youth Service, Kuya Earl brought a much-needed wake-up call for this generation.

Having the mind of Christ means choosing love over differences. It’s choosing to build bridges in a world that tears them down, and shifting our focus from self-preservation to selflessness.

What an overwhelming blessing it is to be learning God’s Word together, Praise God! 🤍

How often do we wake up and immediately feed our minds with TikTok, notifications, or comparison before we even talk to God? 💭

Last Friday at TJL, Ate April reminded us that our daily attitude is just the fruit of whatever has been occupying our minds. When we let the Spirit direct our thoughts instead of our phones, everything shifts.

Before you let the world speak to your mind, make room for God to speak to your heart.

WEEKLY CHALLENGE: The Pre-Reaction Pause.

We live in a world where it’s normal to react fast—to clap back, type out a quick complaint, join in on the gossip circle, or matched someone's negative energy. But as followers of Jesus, we aren't called to copy the noise around us; we’re called to be transformed from the inside out.

Before you hit send, speak up, or react today, run your response through this 3-Filter Test:

1. Is it Christlike? Does my tone and body language look like Jesus?
2. Is it Helpful? Will these words build the other person up, or tear them down?
3. Is it Pleasing to God? Would I say or do this if Jesus were standing right beside me?

What you repeatedly listen to shapes what you think, and what you think shapes how you live. Put off the old habits, renew your mind, and let’s start reflecting Christ in our everyday lives.

Last Saturday was a beautiful reminder that when we come together, we can be part of someone’s hope and healing.

Our TJL youths came with willing hearts, bringing extra clothes, unused items, and other things they could share. What may seem small to us can mean so much to someone who is going through a difficult season.

With the help of our Pastor and church family,we were able to gather and prepare the things requested and needed by our youths from Lapasan who were affected by the fire. More than the things we gave, we pray that they felt that they are not alone,there is a family willing to stand with them.

This is what it means to be the Church: to love not only in words, but through action.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

Thank God for the provision. May He continue to use the church and every willing heart to be a blessing to those in need. We give because He first gave to us. 🤍

Instead of our usual sharing, last Friday was dedicated to lifting up those affected by the fire. We were deeply touched that despite the devastation, some of our affected youths still chose to show up and worship.

To our dear youths: God is in the process of rebuilding and restoring what was lost. Remember that you never have to carry this heavy burden alone, because your Evangel family is right here standing with you. We love you so much!

WE PRAY BECAUSE HE IS WORTH SEEKING 🙌

Another evening spent in God’s presence. Last night, we gathered in prayer, worship, and fellowship, reminding us that faith was never meant to be lived alone.

To every youth: we’d love to have you with us. Come when you’re tired. Come when you’re thankful. Come when you have a lot on your heart.Let’s make prayer a part of our lives, not just something we do when we need something.

Yesterday’s TJL movie night was so much more than just a film, it felt like a whole reset.

The Forge packed in so many timeless lessons: how stepping up takes courage, how letting go of bitterness opens the door to real freedom, and how powerful life becomes when you shift from worrying to waging peace on your knees. So grateful for nights that leave us with open hearts and deeper convictions.
