📜 𝙓𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙧 𝘼𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩-𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙨 𝘼𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙮 𝙅𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣—𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 in the university’s student governance history.

Representatives from multiple student councils stood united: the 𝘾𝙎𝙂 4𝙩𝙝 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚, 𝘼𝙀𝘾𝙊, 𝘼𝘾𝙀𝙎, 𝘼𝙎𝘾, 𝘾𝙎𝙎𝘾, 𝘾𝙊𝙉𝙐𝙎, 𝙎𝘽𝙈𝙎𝘾, 𝙏𝙂, and non-voting members from 𝙐𝙉𝙄𝙏𝘼𝙎𝙎 and 𝙎𝙃𝙎—all gathered for one purpose: 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚.

In a powerful and unified voice, the joint session passed 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 001-2526: 𝘼 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙪𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, authored by 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙖 𝙍𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙚 𝙀𝙨𝙘𝙧𝙪𝙥𝙪𝙡𝙤, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙂 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩. Rooted in the principles of 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙮, 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚, this resolution is more than symbolic, it reflects the 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 of the Xavier Ateneo student body—that corruption, 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙠, 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙤𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢, must be 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙩, 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙣𝙚𝙙, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥’𝐬 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 proceeded in quorum with only 3 peoples absence.

The assembly's agenda highlighted upcoming key projects, the dissemination of tasks and a reminder of upcoming events including but not limited to the college's coming general assembly. The office also proudly welcomed the fresh members during their first assembly!

The meeting discussed significant matters shaping the office’s future direction, highlighting key legislative initiatives that will guide the college toward brighter horizons.

The 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 is also excited to welcome new stars, with interviews for its new members just around the corner!

The board approved a total of 𝙉𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨, which included key appointments to the OVP’s staff, namely 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫.

Central Mindanao University Visits Xavier University for Legislative Student Government Benchmarking

Today, August 5, the Supreme Student Council of Central Mindanao University (CMU-SSC) visited Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan for a benchmarking session with the Central Student Government (XU-CSG), focusing on legislative processes and effective student governance.

The visit highlighted a series of sessions on the Atenean Congress procedures, resolution crafting, and parliamentary practices, aimed at strengthening student leadership structures and initiatives. The program was capped with a hands-on workshop and interaction session, facilitated by the CSG Office of the Vice President alongside the College Council Vice Presidents, who also serve as Senators in the 4th CSG Senate.

The session was presided over by CSG Vice President Bea Andrea Moncay, and the delegation was formally welcomed by CSG President John Phillip Talaba. The XU-CSG leadership proudly shared their best practices and experiences with CMU-SSC President Jaliana Sabandal and her team of college councilors in a collaborative exchange rooted in shared commitment to student service and leadership development.

This benchmarking engagement stands as a testament to the power of inter-campus learning and the ongoing efforts to elevate youth governance across institutions.
