But as much as we want love to last forever, reality reminds us that not all love stories are meant to bloom just yet. But maybe, everything will fall into the right place, Puhon.
But what is Puhon?
Derived from the Cebuano language, Puhon means "someday" or "in God's perfect time." It carries the hope that what is meant to be will happen at the right moment. Itโs not just about waitingโitโs about trusting that life has its own pace and that the best things come when we are ready for them.
We meet people who make our hearts raceโthe one who always saves us, the one who walks us home, the one who makes us believe in love. And yet, we wonder asking ourselves: Is this love? Is this the beginning of something real? But love isnโt just about how fast we fall; itโs about how long it stays through thick and thin.
Maybe today, weโre just two people passing by the hallway, sharing shy smiles and unspoken words. Maybe weโre just best friends, too scared to admit what we really feel. But if itโs meant to be, Puhon, weโll find our way back to each otherโstronger, braver, and readier.
High school love may not always last, but that doesnโt mean it isnโt real. Sometimes, love isnโt about stayingโitโs about teaching us what love truly means.
