Strengthening Governance. Inspiring Purpose.
📍 CULEG Orientation Program
📅 June 30, 2026
🏨 Hamersons Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City
Oro Integrated Cooperative gathered its Board of Directors, Officers, and Management for the Credit Union Label of Excellence in Governance (CULEG) Orientation Program, reaffirming its commitment to fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and governance excellence.
In his inspirational message, Chairperson Raul M. Pregon emphasized the significance of EGO - Entitlement, Gratefulness, and Opinionatedness - as guiding values in leadership and service. He emphasized that entitlement should be viewed not as personal privilege, but as taking ownership of the Cooperative's collective success and celebrating achievements that benefit all. He further highlighted the importance of gratefulness in fostering humility and appreciation for the opportunity to serve, and of opinionatedness in responsibly sharing ideas, perspectives, and expertise that contribute to the Cooperative's continued growth and development. He concluded by reminding everyone that genuine leadership is reflected in a commitment to the common good, where every success is shared, every contribution is valued, and every action advances the Cooperative's mission.
The orientation proper was facilitated by our Compliance Officer, Ms. Judelyn Jardin, and Compliance Specialist, Ms. Carlaine Mae Ayco, who provided participants with a comprehensive overview of the CULEG framework, highlighting the principles of good governance and the Cooperative's continuing journey toward achieving governance excellence.
As OIC advances its pursuit of the Credit Union Label of Excellence in Governance (CULEG), this initiative reflects the Cooperative's unwavering commitment to strengthening ethical leadership, enhancing institutional excellence, and delivering greater value to its members and stakeholders.
Together, we uphold the highest standards of governance. Together, we build a stronger OIC.
