𝒜 𝒿𝑜𝓊𝓇𝓃𝑒𝓎 𝓌𝑜𝓇𝓉𝒽 𝒸𝑒𝓁𝑒𝒷𝓇𝒶𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔. 𝒜 𝓁𝑒𝑔𝒶𝒸𝓎 𝓌𝑜𝓇𝓉𝒽 𝒸𝑜𝓃𝓉𝒾𝓃𝓊𝒾𝓃𝑔.

Last Saturday marked our first step toward creating lasting impact as we prepare for the incoming Rotary Year—guided by purpose, strengthened by fellowship, and inspired to serve above self.

The Rotaract Club of Kalayaan CDO gathered at the Unity Hall of the Provincial Capitol on May 30, 2026, to welcome aspiring members and lay the groundwork for Rotary Year 2026–2027 through strategic planning and collaboration.

RAC Kalayaan President Bernard Castro presided over the orientation for aspiring members, introducing them to the values, opportunities, and spirit of Rotaract. During the strategic planning session, Rtn. Rita Lirios, this year’s New Generations Director from our Mother Club, the Rotary Club of Kalayaan Cagayan de Oro, shared an inspiring message that encouraged members to continue leading with purpose and serving with heart. President-Elect Froilan Padero Callo II helped facilitate the strat planning session as the club collectively mapped out its vision and plans for the year ahead.

Every conversation sparked new ideas. Every activity strengthened fellowship. Every plan brought us one step closer to creating a greater impact in the communities we serve.

As we move forward, we carry with us a shared purpose—to lead with heart, serve with passion, and inspire others through action.

Our sincerest thanks to RC CDO East Urban Past President & Misamis Oriental Governor Juliette Uy for graciously allowing us to use the Unity Hall and for ensuring that we were well taken care of throughout the activity. Your generosity, hospitality, and thoughtfulness truly embody genuine servant leadership and a deep commitment to empowering organizations that strive to make a difference in the community. This is an important milestone for the Rotaract Club of Kalayaan CDO.

Last Rotary year, being recognized nationally as an Exemplary Rotaract Club felt far-fetched. We were still a young club trying to learn, adjust, and grow into our purpose in Rotaract. There were moments of doubt, struggles behind the scenes, and times when we questioned if we were doing enough. There were even moments when we didn’t know what to do — but despite everything, we continued to serve with heart. We never once thought of giving up.

And we’re glad we didn’t, because this Rotary year gave us a different story. This Rotary year became a success story — because of the people who believed in us.

To PDRR Alvin Lagumbay and MDIO Chair Stephen Ferrera, thank you for your constant guidance, mentorship, and encouragement. Your support helped shape us into better leaders and stronger, more purposeful Rotaractors.

To our Mother Club, Rotary Club of Kalayaan Cagayan de Oro, headed by President Atty. Aisa Bruneiry M Alonto, together with our Charter President and Past District Governor Rosalinda Deleste, and to our DRR John Myco Entienza Ermac — thank you for standing with us through every challenge and for never giving up on our club.

From a club that was once close to extinction to now celebrating milestones like these awards, we are reminded that growth takes patience, faith, resilience, and genuine service. This recognition is more than just an award to us — it represents every project we worked hard for, every sleepless night preparing, every challenge we overcame, and every community we were able to serve.

This award is also a testament to the passion and dedication of every club member, each one committed to creating a lasting impact, one project at a time.

Above all, we give back all glory, honor, and praise to God Almighty for sustaining and guiding us every step of the way. ☝️✨
