NATURE OF ORGANIZATION
Barug Kabatan-onan Movement (BARUG) is a community based organization based in Cagayan de Oro City that provides various services primarily to the youth sector both school and community based. Its core program is community organizing and providing trainings and seminar for the youth. OUR COMMON VISION

ld works hand in hand in achieving a just, self managing, and peaceful society where the youth is empowered and leads meaningful initiatives for every communities. OUR COLLECTIVE MISSION
Barug Kabatan-onan Movement (BARUG) tasks itself to educate the young generation while motivating their involvement in addressing the issues and concerns of the youth through its campaigns and advocacies. OUR ROLES AND FUNCTIONS
BARUG’s primarily functions as a representative of its existing and potential members in negotiating and advocating for their rights and welfare at the local, regional and national levels. It performs at least four important functions for its members:
Campaign Center - BARUG launches campaigns and advocacies to protect and advance the common interests of young Filipino;
Representation - BARUG represents its members in various fora and in negotiations particularly where local and national laws and policies are concerned; this representation could extend to the international arena;
Unifying Structure - BARUG implements activities that further unify its members so that they gain better bargaining leverage at all levels; BARUG also represents its members in unification efforts of the broad national youth movement. BARUG assists its chapters by performing functions that they can no longer fulfill because of various tasks at the chapter level. It also extends services to its members particularly in the area of organizational capability-building. Recruitment of new members and building of new chapters are another continuing tasks performed by the organization. OUR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
