NEWS | Girl Scouts of the Philippines—Misamis Oriental Council extends aid to fire victims in Barangay 17, Cagayan De Oro City.

In response to the recent fire incident that struck Barangay 17, leaving more than 200 households without essential belongings, the Misamis Oriental Girl Scouts of the Philippines council came together in solidarity to provide relief goods for the victims.

Guided by the essence of the Girl Scout Promise and Law, the council organized goods for the victims. Essentials such as food, clothing and hygiene kits were provided to address the needs of those affected. The initiative was made possible through the joint efforts of various schools that shared the same commitment to community service and care.

Through this meaningful effort, the Misamis Oriental Council and with the help of all the girls/schools who sent their donations, show their dedication to community service and its unwavering commitment to help others in times of need. The activity stands as a reflection to serve others, promote compassion, and uphold the spirit of bayanihan within the community.

Good day, Girl Scouts!

A recent fire has severely affected Barangay 17, Cagayan de Oro, leaving many families displaced and in need of assistance. In light of this, the Girl Scouts of the Philippines – Misamis Oriental Council is initiating a donation drive to extend vital support to the victims.

We are inviting students and members of the community to contribute either funds or goods. All monetary proceeds will be used to purchase essential relief items. We are also gratefully accepting donations of hygiene products, school supplies, and toys for the affected children and families.

Those who wish to contribute may coordinate with their school’s GSP Coordinator or Adviser. Your generosity, no matter the amount, can help bring comfort and hope to those in need.
