𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠?! 👀 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 😁🌿

UPCOMING INITIATIVE: The XU UNITASS Council, together with the XU Social Involvement and Advocacy Program (XU-SIAP), will be participating in "W**d and Lead: The Green Hands Project" as part of the XU Atiman Kinaiyahan Tree Growing Program. This activity will take place on February 1, 2025, at New Manresa Farm, El Gaucho, CDO.

In preparation for the upcoming planting season, weeding is essential in clearing the area of invasive plants that compete for nutrients, water, and sunlight. By removing these weeds, we help young trees and crops grow stronger and healthier. 🌱

This initiative is made possible with the participation of the following organizations:

🌍 Good day, Nature Crusaders! 🌿

Today, we join forces for the Global Day of Action for Climate Justice! This vital event mobilizes communities and amplifies voices in the fight against climate change. Here in CDO, we’ll observe this initiative with a prayer meeting and candle lighting led by CEED, WagGas, People 4 Power, XU Nature Crusaders, USTP MundoMuna, and local environmental NGOs.

Join us today, November 15, from 5-6 PM at McArthur Park Capitol Grounds. Let’s advocate for environmental consciousness together! Thank you, and see you there! 🕯️💚

Let's plant the seeds of a greener future together! 🌱🌳

The Going Green 2024 Tree-Planting Project is an initiative organized by the Biophilic Society of Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, under the Green Committee for Terrestrial Science.

This project aims to foster a stronger connection to nature, nurture ecological awareness, and contribute to the restoration of our local ecosystems for future generations. By planting trees we can help preserve our biodiversity, promote ecological balance, and reduce carbon footprint.

Join us on October 20th as we plant trees in Camarahan, Pagatpat, Cagayan de Oro City.

We're seeking passionate individuals who share our commitment to environmental conservation. Together, we'll work to protect our environment, promote sustainable practices, and inspire positive change. As a Nature Crusader, you'll have the opportunity to, Participate in community outreach and education programs, Contribute to research and conservation projects, tree growing and clean up drives, and many more.

Departments:
Innovation Department Focuses on developing eco-friendly projects and solutions for the school campus. And financially grants thesis that are eco friendly.

Policy and Legislation Department Researches and analyzes school policies related to environmental sustainability, advocates for policy changes, and learn to participate in legislation in regards to environmental sustainability and protection.

Environmental Advocacy Department organizes tree planting and clean-up events, and raises awareness on environmental issues through educational initiatives. For more information about each department and registration form please click
