The Gusa Regional Science High School–X Red Cross Youth Council extends its sincerest gratitude to the Philippine Red Cross Misamis Oriental–Cagayan de Oro Chapter for giving 51 students and RCY members the opportunity to learn essential life-saving skills through the CPR Training Caravan held on September 4, 2026.

This was more than just a training—it was an opportunity to learn, grow, and become more prepared to help others in times of need. The knowledge and skills shared by the dedicated chapter staff and RC143 volunteers are lessons that the participants will carry with them beyond the training room.

The Council deeply appreciates the Philippine Red Cross for continuously empowering the youth through meaningful opportunities for learning and service. Their dedication to building a generation that is prepared, compassionate, and willing to help is truly inspiring.

May this experience encourage every participant to continue learning, serving, and being ready whenever their community needs them.

Are you ready to learn a skill that could potentially save a life? ❤️

CPR Caravan is a hands-on workshop designed to teach learners from all grade levels the basics of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, or CPR, and what to do when faced with a life-threatening emergency.

But don’t worry—this isn’t just a sit-down lecture! 👀 You’ll get to learn how to recognize a cardiac emergency, know when to respond, watch a proper CPR demonstration, and most importantly, practice the skills yourself with the guidance of our RCY facilitators.

When: September 4, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
📍 Where: Grade 12 – Velasco, 3rd Floor, Senior High School Building

Because in an emergency, every second counts—and knowing what to do can make a difference.

The Gusa Regional Science High School Senior Plus Red Cross Youth Council participated in the celebration of International Volunteers Day on December 6, 2025. The place of the event was the Pilgrim Christian College Auditorium at Cagayan de Oro City, where our council came together with other chapters to celebrate the event. Our group was one of the councils involved in the program and later on they handed us the Certificate of Accreditation for the School Year 2025-2026.

Receiving recognition immediately after our December 5th celebration is a clear indicator of our unwavering commitment to volunteerism and to the Red Cross values. We as an approved Youth Council are thankful for the confidence that has been given to us and are ready to serve with dedication, integrity, and goal.
