The Federation of Government Employees Cooperative successfully conducted a meaningful Gift-Giving Activity that brought joy and hope to its beneficiaries: Home Care for Girls, Balay Paglaum, Women Development Center, and Oro Dalampanan Shelter.

This activity was made possible through the generosity and active participation of the following government cooperatives with its representatives from CHEMCO, PCEMCO, COA-PIMUPCO, BIRLACEMCO, and ENREMCO, whose time, resources, and commitment truly made a difference in the lives of the beneficiaries.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to Ms. Anecia C. Tongson, CSWD Department Manager, Atty. Threjohn Noli, CSWD Asst. Department manager and the dedicated staffs of the CSWD for their unwavering support and compassion.

Your unity and service were instrumental in the success of this activity and served as a blessing to many.

Together, we shared not only gifts but also light, love, and hope—making this celebration truly meaningful. 💙✨

FGEC Joined the Successful Opening Salvo of the National Cooperative Month!

With the theme “Cooperatives: United in Purpose and Action, Sharing Prosperity to Build a Better World,” the Federation of Government Employees Cooperatives (FGEC) proudly joined the Opening Salvo of the National Cooperative Month celebration held earlier today.

Though only a few officers were able to attend, FGEC stood proud, carrying its banner high to represent the federation and show its presence in the cooperative movement.

Leading the way were Chairperson Elmer Wabe, alongside General Manager Nida Eligan and Director Marilyn Legaspi, who all exemplified the federation’s commitment to unity, cooperation, and shared prosperity.

CDA Inspection Successfully Conducted!

Yesterday, the Federation of Government Employees Cooperatives (FGEC) underwent its inspection by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). We are pleased to share that the activity was both successful and constructive.

Our CDA representative, Ms. Rorie Saladas, provided valuable insights and recommendations that will greatly help strengthen and improve the operations of FGEC.

The inspection was attended by the Board of Directors, Engr. Marilyn P. Legaspi and General Manager Ms. Nida Eligan, who actively participated and welcomed the guidance shared by CDA.

FGEC remains committed to continuous improvement in serving our member cooperatives.

Last June 19, 2024, we witnessed a meaningful and heartfelt moment in our cooperative’s journey — the Oath-taking and Turnover Ceremony of our newly elected and appointed FGEC officers.

It was more than just a formality; it was a reminder of the trust and responsibility that comes with leadership. As the outgoing officers graciously turned over their duties, we felt a deep sense of gratitude for their commitment and service through the years.

To our new officers, congratulations! Your willingness to serve and lead inspires us. We are confident that with your fresh ideas and dedication, FGEC will continue to grow stronger and stay true to its purpose.

Special Board Meeting Update | FGEC

On June 29, 2025, the Federation of Government Employees Cooperative (FGEC) successfully held its Special Board Meeting with key agenda items including the election of the new Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Board and the presentation and discussion of the Gap Analysis and Action Plan.

We are pleased to announce the newly elected officers of the Board of Directors:

SUCCESSFUL 7TH ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY!

Just concluded at the 5th Floor, Lagen Room, Pearlmont Hotel, Limketkai Drive, Cagayan de Oro City — the 7th Annual General Assembly of the Federation of Government Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (FGEC) was truly a remarkable celebration of unity, progress, and cooperation!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all our primary member cooperatives (PCEMCO, CHEMCO, COA PIMUPCO, DOLE CARES, BIRLACEMCO, GEMCO, ENREMCO, PUSMCO 10) for your active participation and generous donations to the raffle draw. Because of your support, every raffle winner left the venue with big smiles and grateful hearts! Special Mention Ms. Marissa B. Catubig, a renowned guest speaker- Acting Assistant Regional Director of Cooperative Development Authority Region X. Thank you, ma'am!

The Federation of Government Employees Cooperatives (FGEC) successfully conducted its 4th Regular Board Meeting on April 11, 2025, at the PCEMCO Office, located in the Senator Angara Cooperative Building, Capitol Compound, Cagayan de Oro City.

The meeting was well-attended by six (6) out of seven (7) members of the FGEC Board of Directors, representing PCEMCO, CHEMCO, ENREMCO, PUSMCO 10, DOLE CARES, and COA PIMUPCO. Key discussions focused on matters vital to the Federation’s operations and program implementation, as well as preparations for the upcoming 7th Annual General Assembly.

Pre-Membership Education Seminar at DOLE CARES

On March 26, 2024, the DOLE CARES MPC successfully conducted a Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES) at the DOLE X Activity Area, 5th Floor, Trinidad Building, Corrales-Yacapin Streets, Cagayan de Oro City.

The Federation of Government Employees’ Cooperatives (FGEC) extends its heartfelt gratitude to the DOLE CARES team, led by Vice Chairperson Madame Lucila Pulvera, Manager Ma’am Leila Labor, and Ma’am Alice Tinhay, for inviting our resource speakers, headed by FGEC Vice Chairperson Janet Deguinion. They shared invaluable insights on cooperative principles, member duties and responsibilities, the benefits of cooperative membership, and general membership concepts as per R.A. 9520.

It was truly a privilege for FGEC to contribute to the education and empowerment of future cooperative members. Together, we are fostering a deeper understanding of the cooperative movement and creating a positive impact on the community.
