Do you remember this black cat family from the junkshop?

We are happy to share that two of the kittens have already been adopted by compassionate animal advocates and rescuers, Sir Noel and Ma'am Kate, owners of KZ Paws Pet Supplies. A heartfelt thank you as well to Ma'am Sanlyn Nacaytuna, an advocate and rescuer herself, for opening her heart and home to the other kitten and giving it a loving forever family.

Sadly, the third kitten did not survive. While we mourn this loss, we are grateful that the other kittens have found safe and loving homes where they can thrive.

We are also grateful that the mother cat, together with another female cat living in the junkshop area of COC, has already been spayed. They are currently recovering and will soon be returned to their area, where they are cared for by the community.

Special thanks to Dr. Keeno Moralde and the dedicated team of Whimsy Vets Pet Care Clinic for the care, expertise, and support they have given these cats. Your commitment helps improve their quality of life and contributes greatly to the welfare of community cats.

We hope the remaining cats in the area can also be spayed and neutered soon with the help of kind-hearted sponsors and animal lovers. Every act of compassion makes a meaningful difference.

Ang Pusang Si Bolaw

Akala ng marami ay si Kabang lamang ang nakikitulog sa loob ng BED Library tuwing school break, ngunit may isa pa siyang kasama sya si Bolaw.

Si Bolaw ay anak ni Sunday (palaging makikita sa library) at kapatid ni Monday (mailap din, madalas siyang makita sa may generator sa ibaba)— ngunit tulad ni Kabang, si Bolaw ay isa ding mailap na pusa na mas komportable sa mga taong nakasanayan na niya. Nananatili rin siya sa loob ng Basic Education Building, ngunit taliwas kay Kabang na madalas makita sa itaas, si Bolaw ay mas gustong mamahinga sa mga tagong sulok sa ground floor kung saan tahimik at ligtas ang kanyang pakiramdam.

Kapag school break at wala ang ingay ng mga estudyante, malaya silang nakakapasok sa silid-aralan at nakakatulog nang mahimbing buong araw. Sinusulit nina Kabang at Bolaw ang mga panahong ito ng katahimikan, sapagkat sa pagbalik ng klase, muli silang babalik sa kanilang mga paboritong lugar—mga sulok na hindi madaling mapuntahan ng mga taong hindi nila lubos na kilala.

Sa simpleng buhay nina Kabang at Bolaw, may paalala para sa ating lahat: ang bawat nilalang ay nangangailangan ng isang lugar kung saan sila nakadarama ng kapayapaan, seguridad, at pagtanggap. Minsan, ang tunay na tahanan ay hindi lamang isang lugar, kundi isang pakiramdam na tayo ay ligtas at mahalaga.

Habang abala tayo sa ating mga pangarap at gawain, nawa'y matuto rin tayong magpahinga, magtiwala, at pahalagahan ang mga simpleng sandali ng katahimikan—katulad nina Kabang at Bolaw na marunong sulitin ang bawat pagkakataong makapagpahinga at makaramdam ng kapanatagan.

P.S. 💙🐾 Ang kabutihan sa mga hayop ay salamin ng ating pagkatao. Sa maliit na paraan, ang pagbibigay sa kanila ng espasyo, pag-unawa, at pagmamalasakit ay nakapagbibigay ng malaking ginhawa sa kanilang buhay.

Through the prayers of Senyor Citizen together with his fellow CocCats and his heartfelt post informing his followers that their food dispensers were already empty and need of help, the Lord truly touched the hearts of many kind and compassionate people. Thank you so much to everyone who responded, shared their blessings, and extended their support—si Lord na gyud ang bahala mobalos sa inyong kaayo. 💖

Magandang araw po. Ako po si Senior Citizen BED Cats, na laging representative sa mga litrato tuwing may dumarating na ayuda. Nais ko lang pong muling magparinig sa aming mga fans—ay followers pala namin 🐱💖—na may mabubuting puso.

Naubusan na naman po kami ng pagkain para naming mga pusa sa school. Marami po kasi kaming pinapakain sa tatlong building (BED, PH & MS) ng school, at lahat ay mga miming na nakikinabang sa tulong ng mga donors at kadalasan din po ay sa labas ng school na mga miming nabigyan din. Kaya talagang mabilis maubos ang laman ng aming panudlanan.

Baka sakaling may makabasa po ng aming munting panawagan at nais tumulong mula sa puso. Nawa’y pagpalain at suklian kayo ni Lord sa inyong kabutihan sa aming mga memeng. At sana po ay hindi kayo magsawang tumulong at magpa-abot ng ayuda sa amin, mga mabubuting tao.

Maraming salamat po sa inyong kabaitan at suporta. 🐱💖

Sa isang sulok ng tambakan sa loob ng paaralan, may tatlong munting itim na kuting na magkakasama. Takot ang kanilang nararamdaman, ngunit nananatili silang magkakatabi para sa isa’t isa, naghahanap ng lakas sa kanilang pagkakapit.

May isang maawain na taong nakakita sa kanila at nagbigay ng pagkain. Tahimik silang kumain, kahit nangingibabaw pa rin ang takot. Parang paalala ang kanilang kalagayan sa tao—na sa gitna ng kahirapan at pangamba, ang lakas ay nagsisimula sa pagkakaisa, at ang pag-asa ay umuusbong sa simpleng kabutihan ng pagtulong sa kapwa.

Ang Pusang Si Kabang

Si Kabang ay isang community cat na nakatira sa paaralan at madalas makita sa loob ng Basic Education Building sa my pinakamataas na bahagi ng gusali. Ngayong break na at tapos na ang school year, tahimik na muli ang paligid at wala nang ingay ng mga estudyante. Sa gitna ng katahimikan, mahimbing siyang nagpapahinga sa upuan sa loob ng library ang kanyang munting tahanan kung walang mga studyante, medyo mailap sa mga tao na di nya nakasanayan si Kabang. Sa simpleng tagpong ito, naipapakita niya ang kapayapaan at ginhawang makikita sa mga simpleng bagay.

Kahit isa lamang siyang pusang gala, ipinapakita ni Kabang na hindi kailangan ng marangyang lugar upang maramdaman ang seguridad at saya. Sa isang tahimik na sulok ng paaralan, nakahanap siya ng lugar kung saan siya komportable at ligtas. Isa siyang paalala na minsan, sapat na ang kabutihan at malasakit upang maramdaman nating may tahanan tayo saan man tayo mapunta.

Si Bogoy ay tahimik na nakaupo sa gitna ng mga libro at kaalaman.
Parang binabantayan niya ang katahimikan ng silid-aklatan habang payapang pinagmamasdan ang paligid.
Sa simpleng presensya niya, naaalala natin na hindi kailangang maging maingay para mapansin.

Minsan, ang tunay na lakas ay makikita sa katahimikan at kapanatagan ng puso.
Tulad ni Bogoy, maaari kang maging inspirasyon sa simpleng paraan lamang.
