Grounded in the belief that human dignity must be protected and upheld in all circumstances, the 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 (𝗛𝗥𝗬𝗔𝗡), in partnership with 𝗔𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗮 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗱𝗮 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗦𝗨-𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗦𝗠-𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗻, successfully conducted a humanitarian and community support initiative in Balut Island, Sarangani Province.

Through the collective efforts of student leaders, youth advocates, volunteers, and donors, essential relief assistance was delivered to underserved island communities, affirming the principle that access to basic necessities, safety, and human dignity is not a privilege, but a fundamental right. Beyond the distribution of aid, the initiative served as an expression of solidarity with communities facing social and economic vulnerabilities, demonstrating how youth-led action can translate the values of human rights into meaningful and tangible service.

As we continue to confront the realities of inequality, geographic isolation, and disaster vulnerability, this initiative stands as a reminder that genuine social change begins when communities choose to act not out of charity alone, but out of a shared commitment to justice, dignity, and the collective well-being of all.

This meaningful gathering served as a platform for young leaders to deepen their understanding of human rights, promote youth empowerment, and strengthen their commitment to building inclusive and compassionate communities. Through collaboration and shared advocacy, the youth continue to become catalysts of positive change and defenders of dignity, equality, and justice.
May this assembly inspire more young people to become active champions of human rights and responsible leaders who work for a brighter future for all.

Basketball and volleyball eliminations finished in the first half of today's sportsfest, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork as teams fight for a spot in the finals. The competition is fierce, with each match highlighting the participants' dedication and sportsmanship.

The highly anticipated All-Star games featured a special matchup between the Facilitators and Players. This unique encounter was an exciting display of talent, strategy, and camaraderie.

“𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲.”

Before we unfold the 3-day camp this weekend, let’s revisit the camp preparations with our community partners. Over the past two months, during February and March, we had the opportunity to physically visit and consult with 8 hinterland barangays for the upcoming camp. Despite geographical challenges and conflicting schedules, we also reached 3 additional barangays through phone call consultations to ensure that their voices and perspectives were still included in the planning process.

Through these consultations, we gained a deeper understanding of the current state of youth participation in the hinterland communities. We witnessed how young people continue to initiate activities that promote civic awareness, leadership, and community engagement despite limited resources and challenging circumstances. More importantly, we learned how local youth leaders creatively balance the interests of young people while responding to the realities and needs of their communities.

These conversations reminded us that meaningful youth participation is not measured by resources alone, but by the commitment, resilience, and willingness of communities to create spaces where young people can learn, contribute, and lead. As we prepare for this weekend’s camp, we carry with us the stories, aspirations, and insights shared by our partner communities inspiring us to make the experience more grounded, inclusive, and impactful for every participant.

Advocacy can be heavy, but we are learning how to carry the weight together.

We are proud to announce that our HRYAN representatives have successfully completed the Psychological First Aid (PFA) Training in Cagayan de Oro City on March 20–22, 2026.

This wasn’t just a workshop it was a deep dive into simulations and skills-building to ensure we can provide immediate support to youth facing distress, especially those on the frontlines of human rights work.

Our newly minted trainers are preparing to RE-ECHO these life-saving skills to the entire HRYAN family. We are committed to making sure every member is equipped to be a source of comfort and strength for others.
