Last January 23, during the public hearing on the Pueblo de Oro Masterson Mile North Project, or what the Morning Mist Village HOA calls the Pueblo de Oro Towers of Darkness, VM Rodriguez asked the DENR to conduct another public hearing as she is not satisfied with Pueblo de Oro's presentation and proposal as contained in their Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) (see https://bit.ly/CorporateGreedExemplified ).
The EIS of PODC failed to impress or satisfy most public attendees to the DENR EMB-10 activity at the 4 Kings Event Center at Uptown CDO. The PODC EIS failed to address many questions and concerns like the expected worsening of the Mastersons Avenue traffic, flooding, pollution, building code violation, and the proposed projectsโ effect on the environment, impact on the health and well-being of the primary affected area which is Morning Mist Village.
The MMVHOA manifested its strong opposition to the Pueblo de Oro Masterson Mile North Project, the Masterson Mile Towers Project, or the Pueblo de Oro TOWERS OF DARKNESS. According to the MMVHOA, the EIS of Pueblo De Oro Development Corporation as prepared by consultants of LCI ENVI CORPORATION pales in comparison to the arguments and issues raised by the MMVHOA, as well as the professional assessment of external reviewers engaged by MMVHOA to evaluate the EIS of PODC. MMVHOA presented a paper entitled โA Preliminary Assessment of the Masterson Mile North Project Environmental Impact Statementโ made by a team of esteemed and unimpeachable academicians and environmentalists led by Dr. Maria Noelyn S. Dano, Architect Archemedes G. Wabe and Economist Gerrich Aldin C. Babanto. (see https://bit.ly/DiliMiPailad ) .
The MMVHOA therefore โprayed that the DENR EMB 10, under Regional Director Mr. Reynaldo S. Digamo and DENR 10, under Regional Executive Director Henry A. Adornado will arrive at a conclusive and scientific basis to REJECT and REPUDIATE the proposed EIS of PODC, and consequently DENY the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) for the ominous project, which is anchored on an EIS full of motherhood statements but lacking in logic, justice, fair play and detrimental to the greater majority of Cagayanons in general, and destined to cause irreparable damage to the health, wellbeing, civil and political rights of MMV homeowners in particular.โ
