On 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, the USTP Scholars Society gathered virtually via Google Meet to mark the beginning of another promising academic year.

The session started with a prayer, followed by a short kamustahan. Highlights of the meeting included an overview of how the organization runs, the responsibilities of its members, and the appointment of new officers.

This marks the start of another year of meaningful service to our Scholars.

Every idea, every project, every plan that moves forward finds its way through the careful guidance of the 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗖𝗦 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔.𝗬. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. They are the ones who set the rules, issue memorandums, and make sure every scholar stays alert, informed, and ready to take on challenges. They review projects, check every detail, and make sure each initiative reflects the mission and vision of University City Scholars.

This year’s Legislative Branch—made up of the 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆, 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀—steps into their roles with dedication and purpose. This August 2025, our outstanding PhilDev Scholars proudly represented the university in a national level in these two prestigious events—the 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘋𝘦𝘷 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘱 (August 3–9, Antipolo City) and the 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘰 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘢𝘣 (𝘠𝘉𝘓𝘓) 𝘐𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘯 powered by FactSet 2.0 (August 11–16, Taguig City).

The Leadership Camp focused on building self-awareness, personal growth, and professional readiness, while also promoting mental well-being, leadership development, and networking among scholars across the country. On the other hand, the YBLL Ideathon highlighted the application of skills through innovation, where participants designed tech-based solutions to real-world problems and showcased their readiness for the future workforce.
