What started as a simple idea of repurposing used garments turned into a meaningful project that created opportunities, developed skills, and brought smiles to many lives.
Through the collective efforts of ISDA Scholars from Carmen, Consolacion, Patag, Puntod, and Unified Barangay, the RUG (Repurposing Used Garments) Project successfully transformed donated clothes into handmade rugs, while providing scholars with valuable skills in rug-making, teamwork, and entrepreneurship. The project also generated revenue, which helped support ouroutreach initiative.
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mrs. Norelyn G. Dorato, who served as the project's speaker and hands-on instructor during the rug-making workshop. Through her guidance, patience, and expertise, our scholars learned the skills needed to transform used fabrics into functional handmade rugs and successfully carry out this project.
The journey reached its most meaningful moment on June 13, 2026, when Cluster G conducted its Outreach and Culmination Program at the Calabrian Children's Foundation, where children received welfare kits containing school and hygiene essentials to help them prepare for the upcoming school year.
Each beneficiary received:
Hygiene Kit
โข Face Towel
โข Toothbrush
โข Toothpaste
โข Alcohol
โข Tissue
โข Wipes
Additional Essentials
โข Umbrella
โข Tumbler
โข Socks
โข Lunchbox
Beyond the gifts, the children also enjoyed fun games, prizes, and a memorable day filled with laughter and joy.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our partners and sponsors:

Your support, guidance, and belief in our project made this initiative possible.
To all volunteer scholars, officers, supporters, and community members who shared their time, effort, and resources, thank you for proving that when we work together, we can turn simple threads into opportunities and acts of kindness into lasting impact.
This is more than a project. It is a reminder that service, compassion, and unity can create meaningful change in our communities.
