Yesterday marked the culmination of Proyekto Kugos - TUKOD. 💙 For two days, the venue became a space filled with learning, shared stories, new ideas, and meaningful conversations. From branding and design to content creation and social media management, participants were given opportunities to explore skills they can use to grow and strengthen their businesses moving forward.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines, the College of Information Technology and Computing, the Department of Technology Communication Management, the Office of Extension and Community Relations, our partners and collaborators, InspireNation, the DTI Misamis Oriental (DTI), Barangay Balulang, and the State University of Technology Communication Management Society for helping make this possible.

To our speakers/facilitators - Ms. Angelie Bete, Assoc. Prof. Angeli Monsanto, and Mr. Jerwin Borres - together with our organizers and student facilitators from the Project Management Class of BSTCM, and most especially our participants, daghang salamat for your time, stories, and willingness to learn.

Through initiatives like TUKOD, we hope to continue creating opportunities where communities can learn new skills, build confidence, and find better ways to grow in today’s changing digital space.

This morning at Proyekto Kugos - TUKOD 💙

Participants took part in Session 3: Content Writing and Social Media Management, facilitated by Assoc. Prof. Angeli Monsanto. The session focused on how content and social media can help businesses communicate more clearly, connect with their audience, and strengthen their online presence. Participants also explored practical ways of creating captions, understanding engagement, and sharing stories that feel more genuine and relatable. Another meaningful learning session for our solo parent entrepreneurs as they continue building confidence in navigating the digital space.

Happening now at Proyekto Kugos - TUKOD

Participants are currently taking part in Session 2: Visual Communication and Graphic Designing, facilitated by Ms. Angelie Bete, Head of Marketing Services of the Office of Marketing and Recruitment for Internationalization and faculty member of the Department of Technology Communication Management (DTCM). The session focuses on how design and visual communication can help businesses present their identity more clearly, creatively, and effectively in today’s digital space.

From layouts and colors to visual storytelling, participants are now exploring ways to make their brands more engaging and memorable. 💙

The morning session of Proyekto Kugos - TUKOD has officially wrapped up. 💙 Participants spent the first half of the day learning about branding and the importance of building a strong brand identity, from defining their message and values to understanding how people remember and connect with a business. It was a meaningful conversation on how identity, storytelling, and consistency can help solo parent entrepreneurs strengthen their presence and grow with confidence.

This afternoon, the learning continues with a session focused on Visual Communication and Graphic Designing, where participants will explore how design can help bring their brands to life creatively and effectively.

Excited to see ideas, stories, and businesses slowly come to life through this initiative.

Every speaker brings a different story and perspective to the table, and we’re grateful to have people who are willing to share their knowledge and experience with our participants for TUKOD.

From branding and design to content writing and social media, these sessions are meant to make the digital space feel a little less intimidating and a little more possible for solo parent entrepreneurs trying to grow what they started.

TUKOD is part of Proyekto Kugos, an initiative meant to support solo parent entrepreneurs as they navigate today’s digital space. Through hands-on workshops on branding, design, and social media, the goal is simple: to help turn what they already have into something more sustainable.

We’re opening this space on May 8 and 9 at USTP Cagayan de Oro. We look forward to welcoming our invited participants and spending these two days learning and building together.
