The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) officially partnered with the DOST-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing for the project "AgriCircle: Advancing Urban and Peri-urban Agricultural Connectivity in Metro CdO” on January 21, 2025, at the Office of the President, Administration Building, USTP CDO. The ₱5-million grant will develop a web-based portal that will bring together farmers, consumers/buyers, input sellers, and support agencies from the government and academe in one platform for the purpose of enhancing the hyperlocal food system in the region.

Ang success namu sa Gulayan sa Kabalayan dili lang ni siya nga akoa nga initiative ug sa akong mga friends but through partnerships, collaboration ug kakugi nga magpadayon kay daghan pa kaayo ug mga teknolohiya sa gardening ug sa Agrikultura nga pwede gyud siya matun-an.

Ang Gulayan sa Kabalayan nagsugod niadtong Pandemic Time. It started sa simple lang gyud nga sharing naku sa akong Facebook. Nag-tap rami sa among mga amigo ug mga amiga, volunteers rami tanan sa among pagsugod and that was 2020 ug pagka 2021 nag-focus na dayon me sa mga kabarangayan peru nga-focus pud me sa mga batan-on kay ang problema nato tigulang na ang atong mga farmers.

The University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines in Cagayan de Oro (USTP CDO), through the Department of Educational Planning and Administration (DEPA) of the College of Science and Technology Education (CSTE), in collaboration with the Center for Human Development (CHD), signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Education (DepEd), Division of Cagayan de Oro, on January 7, 2026, at the Chancellor’s Office of USTP CDO. The agreement aims to establish a sustainable framework for the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program.
