RATIONALE;
In 2016,around ten million Filipino families are identified as poor.This families live below poverty level earning below the Philippines poverty threshold income of at least Php 8,778 ($172.07) in a month for a family of 5. Most of the families identified are also informal settlers and have less access to proper housing.Furthermore, as reported news late 2016,the Philippine government is tackling a chronic housing shortage.With a 100,00 increase in needed housing units,it is identified a gap of a little more than 5.7 million housing units are in the backlog in the socialized housing industry alone. This poverty incidences as identified by the Philippines authorities are mainly due to employment issues,unbalanced economic growth,highly bureaucratic government transactions and minimal access to financial and housing institutions,among others severely affects the 10 million Filipino families as identified. PROJECT PROPOSITION;
The 3P's project or the PPP project ( Panginoon,Pangkabuhayan at Pabahay) is a self and family development project aimed in creating God fearing,responsible, sustainable communities in the Philippines,this project was conceptualized by the Barriga Home Development Center Incorporation,BHDCI, a non governmental organization whose aim is to provide spiritual and self development for the individuals, assist and provide livelihood projects for self and family sustainability as well as reponsible housing assistance. OUTCOMES AND GOALS:
Helping others by providing a holistic approach in self development,and skills enhancement to identified beneficiaries,will make them responsible and sustainable members of society with proper livelihood and housing is the ultimate goal of the project.Ensuring the livelihood sustainability skills of the beneficiaries will in turn provide a profitable return of investment to the financing institution thru easy accessible grant and loan interest while improving the welfare of the people.
