RCHC Year-End Hardcore Ritual - Dec 13, 2025.
This one hits different.

This will be the last RCHC show, not just for 2025, but maybe for a while. Since 2013, we’ve poured everything into building this small but real community. And to everyone who’s been part of it, crew, bands, show-goers, friends from other cities, thank you. You made RCHC what it is.

It’s been an honor to contribute to this scene. Life’s calling me into a new chapter, and I wanna explore other things, grow, focus on myself and my family. But I know for sure: someone will continue what we started. And when that time comes, we’ll always be here to support, standing at the back, smiling, nodding, cheering the next generation on.

Please remember: always, always, ALWAYS support your local bands. Hardcore or not. Go to the shows. Bring a friend. Buy a shirt. Clap the loudest. That’s more than enough to keep any scene alive.

Thank you for 12 years of Rising City Hardcore.
See you on December 13. Let’s end it the right way.

Real talk about shows.

Yeah, we're all about that DIY energy and nobody's out here trying to be the fun police. But there's a difference between "no rules" and just looking out for each other so we can keep doing this.
You know the deal: pick people up when they go down. Doesn't matter if you're in the pit or standing back - if someone hits the floor, you grab them. Every time.

Stage diving and crowdkilling are part of it, but read the room. There's a difference between going hard and just being a dick to people who clearly aren't trying to be involved. The person standing at the back checking their phone? Leave them alone.

Keep your elbows and fists in check. We've all caught a stray hit, that's gonna happen. But if you're the person everyone's talking about after the show because you were swinging like it's a fight, you're doing it wrong.

Respect the space and the people who made the show happen. They're probably losing money to give us somewhere to go. Don't trash the venue, don't give them a reason to never book hardcore again.

And if someone says stop or pushes you away, respect it immediately. This scene survives because we police ourselves - not because some bouncer or promoter tells us how to act.
We don't need a rulebook. We just need to not be as****es to each other. That's it. That's the whole thing.

10 Myths About Hardcore & Mosh Pits You Should Stop Believing Right Now

1. “Mosh pits are just violence.”
No — it’s controlled chaos. People help you up, not beat you down.

2. “Only angry people mosh.”
Most people moshing are having fun, not raging at life.

3. “Hardcore shows are unsafe.”
Accidents happen, but the culture is built on watch out for each other.

4. “You have to look tough to join the pit.”
No one cares how you look. The pit is for anyone with energy.

5. “Moshing is just random pushing.”
There’s an actual flow, rhythm, and awareness involved.

6. “Hardcore fans hate newbies.”
Everyone started somewhere. The scene usually welcomes respect.

7. “Mosh pits are a guy-only thing.”
Women, nonbinary folks — everyone gets in the pit. No gatekeeping.

8. “You need to be drunk/high to enjoy it.”
Most of the best moshing is done sober and fully in the moment.

9. “Hardcore is just noise.”
There’s message, passion, and purpose behind the sound.

10. “You can’t get hurt if you stay outside the pit.”
Wrong. Stay aware everywhere — crowd surfers don’t ask permission.
