Tiglawigan National High School Clinches Historic Championship at 2025 Division Athletics Meet

In a landmark performance that has elevated the school’s athletic program to new heights, the Tiglawigan National High School (TNHS) Boys Volleyball Team secured the Championship Title at the recently concluded Division Athletics Meet 2025, where they proudly represented District 8.

This victory marks a first in the history of Tiglawigan NHS, establishing a new standard of excellence for the institution’s sports development. The team’s triumph comes after months of disciplined training, strategic preparation, and unwavering commitment from both players and coaching staff.

Guided by the leadership and expertise of Coach Ma’am Jenny D. Dublado and Mr. Joseph Niel Dugayo, the athletes demonstrated exceptional skill, composure, and teamwork throughout the tournament. Their dedication—refined through rigorous practice sessions and fortified by a shared pursuit of excellence—proved decisive in securing the championship.

Driving this milestone behind the scenes was Sir Marwin D. Descalsota, School Principal, whose strong support and vision ensured the athletes and coaches had everything they needed to succeed. The achievement was also made possible through the collective support of the TNHS Faculty and Staff, the parents who consistently backed the team, and the donors who extended assistance vital to the athletes’ journey. With this victory, the TNHS Boys Volleyball Team now advances to the Provincial Meet, where they will carry not only the name of Tiglawigan NHS but the pride and honor of the entire division.

JOANN OF ART: TNHS’ Visual Artist with a Back‑to‑Back Win

Two competitions. Two victories. One historic week.

Tiglawigan National High School proudly upholds its reputation as the Home of the Artists — as Joann, one of our most promising young talents, secures back‑to‑back championship titles in poster‑making contests within a single week.

Her winning streak began at the PNP Poster‑Making Contest on July 26, 2025, where she emerged as Champion. Just five days later, on July 31, 2025, she claimed another Champion title at the PYAP On‑the‑Spot Poster‑Making Contest, cementing her status as one of TNHS’s brightest young creatives.

Behind Joann’s success is her mentor, Sir Nelson Gonzales, TNHS’s multi‑awarded Visual Arts teacher, whose guidance continues to nurture artists who bring honor to the school and community.

This is more than a victory—it’s a watershed moment that proves TNHS nurtures artists who make waves beyond our campus.
