"𝐌𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐩 𝐤𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨." — a powerful reminder from our Founder during the Aral Summer Camp Program Graduation Ceremony. 🤍

Hakbang Kabataan successfully carried out two meaningful initiatives dedicated to supporting education and youth development: 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝘀𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗮 at 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 (𝗠𝗡𝗛𝗦) and 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 (𝗕𝗘𝗦), as well as the 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆. 🌱📚

Through these initiatives, we were able to help prepare schools for the upcoming academic year while also celebrating the achievements of the young learners who completed the Aral Summer Camp Program. These moments remind us that education flourishes when communities come together to support, encourage, and invest in the youth.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Baclaran Elementary School, led by 𝙈𝙨. 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙖 𝙇𝙞𝙯𝙖 𝘽. 𝙊𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙤, 𝙋𝙝𝘿, Principal, and 𝙈𝙧. 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙮 𝙕. 𝙉𝙤𝙫𝙖, 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡, for their warm welcome, trust, and partnership in advancing our shared advocacy for youth and education. Maraming salamat din sa lahat ng volunteers, partners, and supporters whose time, effort, and generosity helped make these initiatives possible. 🤗

𝓗𝓪𝓹𝓹𝔂 𝓟𝓻𝓲𝓭𝓮 𝓜𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓱 to all the guys, girls, g**s, and everyone in between out there!

Hakbang Kabataan stands in solidarity this June—a month of diversity, courage, identity, and visibility for every person who has ever been made to feel “too different” just for existing as themselves. A reminder that no one should have to hide, shrink, or change who they are just to be accepted.

Pride Month isn’t just a celebration of colors, love, and self-expression. Ito ay pakikibaka. Ito ay pagprotesta. Ito ay paninindigan.

Dahil hanggang ngayon, marami pa ring miyembro ng LGBTQ+ community ang patuloy na nakararanas ng diskriminasyon, panghuhusga, karahasan, at hindi pantay na oportunidad—sa paaralan, sa trabaho, sa komunidad, at maging sa sarili nilang mga tahanan. May ilan na natatakot pa ring lumabas sa tunay nilang pagkatao dahil sa takot na hindi sila matanggap, mapahiya, o masaktan.

Hindi pa rin pantay ang karapatan. Hindi pa rin sapat ang proteksyon. At hindi pa rin lahat ay ligtas maging totoo sa sarili nila.

Kaya ang Pride ay hindi lamang selebrasyon—ito ay paalala na may laban pa. Laban para sa respeto, para sa dignidad, para sa kalayaan, at para sa mundong hindi ka huhusgahan sa kung sino ang mahal mo o kung sino ka.

At sa gitna ng lahat ng ingay, takot, at laban—mananatili ang isang katotohanan:

– 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬 💡🌈

Today, we took another step toward making education a little more accessible for the children in our community. 🤍

As volunteers of 𝗛𝗮𝗸𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻, we packed and distributed school supplies with one goal in mind: to help young learners start their school year with 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚. ✨

Every school kit we distributed was made possible by the 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. A simple donation can go a long way in supporting a child’s dream. ✏️📚

𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪 to everyone who donated, volunteered, and stood with us. Because of you, we were able to reach more children and share hope. 🫂

A full day of canvas-shopping, hauling heavy boxes, and budgeting every single peso. Yesterday, May 26, our team went all out to secure the school supplies and learning kits needed for our upcoming distributions. 🛍️✨

To our volunteers: thank you for braving the chaotic market crowds and dealing with the exhausting logistics without a single complaint. 🫡

Advocacy isn't just felt during the actual implementation; it's forged in the shared sweat, sore muscles, and passion that happen long before the first notebook is handed out.

Hakbang Kabataan is officially in the house! 🤍 We are incredibly honored and proud to be recognized as one of the active volunteers for this year's 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 held at 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹! 🏫✍️

Running across 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟴, this literacy and reading program is all about ensuring that no child gets left behind when it comes to basic learning. Witnessing the dedication of the kids to learn, one letter and one word at a time, completely melts our hearts. This is exactly why we do what we do.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Baclaran Elementary School, especially to the School Principal, 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐚 𝐋𝐢𝐳𝐚 𝐃. 𝐎𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐨, 𝐏𝐡𝐃, for welcoming our organization with open arms and giving us the platform to serve. Partnerships like this remind us that it takes a village to raise a child. 🤝💕

What a successful and meaningful cozy night! ✨️

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported 𝗛𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗚 𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗜𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚, a fundraising gig made possible by the 𝐇𝐚𝐤𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 in collaboration with 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐟𝐞. ☕️ Together, we turned a cozy night at the cafe into a powerful step forward for the Hakbang Kabataan foundation. 💛
