The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has deployed additional enforcement personnel to manage traffic and ensure road safety during the series of events related to the Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City. With a significant influx of presenters, tourists, and event participants anticipated to travel north to experience the festivities and cooler climate, the LTO is taking proactive measures to facilitate smooth traffic flow and address potential concerns.
LTO enforcers will be strategically stationed along major thoroughfares in Metro Manila leading to and within Baguio City, focusing on routes heavily utilized by festival-goers. Their primary objective is to maintain order, prevent congestion, and swiftly respond to any road incidents. Motorists are advised to observe all traffic regulations and cooperate with LTO personnel to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Furthermore, the LTO Central Command Center will be fully operational and deployed at key points along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and North Luzon Expressway (NLEX). This command center will play a crucial role in assisting motorists with any concerns they may encounter during their travel. Equipped with real-time monitoring capabilities, the center will also conduct continuous checks on traffic conditions and identify traffic violators, ensuring prompt intervention and enforcement actions. This initiative underscores the LTO's commitment to prioritizing public safety and convenience, especially during periods of increased travel and public gatherings.
