More than providing nutritional support, the project reflects a commitment to maternal care, family well-being, and the health of the next generation.

IN MEMORIAM

It is with profound sadness that the Rotary Club of Cabuyao mourns the passing of our beloved Charter President, Danilo “Danny” Batino.

As our Charter President, he holds a special and enduring place in the history of our Club. He was there at the beginning, helping lay the foundation upon which generations of Rotarians in Cabuyao would continue the mission of Service Above Self.

His leadership, dedication, and commitment to Rotary helped shape the Rotary Club of Cabuyao into the organization it is today. The legacy he helped begin will live on through every act of service, every life touched, and every Rotarian who continues the work he once helped start.

During this difficult time, we extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt prayers to his family, loved ones, and everyone whose life he touched.

Thank you, CP Danny, for your leadership, your service, and the legacy you leave behind.

FINAL PREPARATIONS UNDERWAY

Last night, September 14, the Rotary Club of Cabuyao, Rotary Club of Cabuyao Circle, and Rotary Club of the City of Cabuyao Premier came together for another joint planning meeting as we enter the final stretch of preparations for our Joint Governor’s Visit and Fellowship Night on September 19, 2026.

With only a few days to go, the meeting focused on reviewing and finalizing the Governor’s Visit schedule, program flow, club presentations, venue and audiovisual requirements, food arrangements, new member induction, awards and recognition, registration, raffle, and other event details.

Responsibilities were reviewed and assigned, while the final program was completed for submission to the District.

After weeks of meetings, coordination, and preparations, we’re almost ready to welcome our District Governor and fellow Rotarians for a meaningful day of service, leadership, and fellowship.

BAKE AND BUILD: SKILLS TODAY. LIVELIHOOD TOMORROW.

What if learning how to bake could become the first step toward building a better future?

A simple skill can become a source of income. A small oven can become the beginning of a livelihood. And with the right training and opportunity, an individual can gain the confidence and ability to build something of their own.

This is the vision behind Bake and Build: Skills Today. Livelihood Tomorrow.

Launched on September 13, 2026, at Barangay Haligue Kanluran, Batangas City, Batangas, this joint livelihood and skills development initiative brings Rotary clubs and partner organizations together to equip participants with practical baking skills that can open doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable income.

The program consists of 18 days of intensive, hands-on baking training followed by 3 days of assessment, allowing participants to develop and demonstrate competencies they can carry with them long after the program ends.

Upon successfully completing the training and assessment, qualified graduates will receive their TESDA NC II certification, providing them with a valuable credential for employment and livelihood opportunities. Graduates will also receive a FREE oven, giving them an essential tool to put their newly acquired skills into practice and begin earning from what they have learned.

This meaningful initiative is a joint project of:

In partnership with the Police Community Affairs and Development Course and TESDA.

More than learning how to bake, Bake and Build is about learning how to build a future.

It directly advances one of Rotary's Seven Areas of Focus: Community Economic Development, empowering people with practical skills, recognized certification, and the tools needed to pursue sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Today, they learn a skill.
Tomorrow, they can build a livelihood.
And for their families, it can become the beginning of something greater.

LEARNING, CONNECTING & PREPARING FOR THE MONTHS AHEAD

Today, September 12, 2026, the Rotary Club of Cabuyao participated in the Rotary International District 3820 Zoom Meeting and Seminar, joining fellow Rotarians across the District for important updates, learning, and preparations for upcoming Rotary activities.

The session covered several key topics, including:

LINAW AT ALAGA:
BRINGING CLEARER VISION CLOSER TO THE COMMUNITY
Mabuhay City Homes Ph5, Brgy. Mamatid, Cabuyao, Laguna

Today, the Rotary Club of Cabuyao continues its Linaw at Alaga Eye Care Program, this time serving the residents of Mahuhay City Homes Phase 5, Brgy. Mamatid, Cabuyao, Laguna.

In partnership with the Rotary Club of Pila West and Alay Kalusugan sa Pamilyang Pilipino, Inc., the program provided:
• Free Eye Check-Up
• Discounted Prescription Glasses
• Free Cataract Screening

A total of 58 patients received eye care services during today’s activity, with 10 patients identified through cataract screening for further attention and appropriate care.

More than providing clearer vision, early detection of eye conditions can help individuals take the necessary steps toward treatment and protect their quality of life.

Through Linaw at Alaga, we aim to make basic eye care more accessible to our community. Clearer vision can make a meaningful difference in a person's daily life, from work and studies to mobility, independence, and overall well-being.
