If you were given one chance to return to the past, what would you fix?
I think many of us would return to the same places. Mga relasyon, tiwala sa sarili, tiwala sa ibang tao, tiwala ng ibang tao, salitang binitawan, at desisyon na nasayang.
The past can be strangely persuasive. It convinces us that healing is waiting in another conversation, another decision, another version of ourselves. So we keep revisiting the same memories, hoping they'll finally give us the ending we've been searching for.
Regret has a way of convincing us that we trusted too much, loved too deeply, or gave too much of ourselves. Looking back, it's easy to wish we had been wiser. Then again, perhaps those moments gave us something we couldn't have learned any other way.
But, Jesus isn't asking you to erase your memories. He's inviting you to stop measuring today by yesterday.
The best way to fix the past isn't by changing it. It's allowing God to change the way you see it. When your eyes begin to look forward, you'll realize He never stopped doing something new.
Isaiah 43:18 NIV
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
