𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐠-𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧: 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 ‘𝟐𝟔 🌟| Part III

For the final part of our Leadership Training, we had an exciting team-building activity — the Team Tower Build where student leaders were tasked to build the tallest tower within a limited time.

During the activity, we witnessed how each team demonstrated unique strategies and techniques. They carefully planned, communicated, adjusted, and figured out solutions together throughout the entire building process. It was inspiring to see teamwork in action.

After the time was up, the facilitator asked the student leaders about their realizations. Many shared that in order to successfully build the tower, effective communication and proper planning were essential. More importantly, they emphasized that a tower cannot stand tall without a strong foundation — just like an organization cannot succeed without unity, trust, and shared purpose. 💙

𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐠-𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧: 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 ‘𝟐𝟔 🌟| Part II

The afternoon session became a meaningful and eye-opening discussion as we welcomed our guest speaker, Mrs. Joyce Lou Dizon, who talked about important health-related issues affecting today’s youth — including teenage pregnancy, HIV, and other STDs.

She generously shared her knowledge, preventive measures, and heartfelt advice to guide us in becoming more responsible and informed student leaders. Through real-life stories and honest conversations, she inspired us to become stronger advocates in helping the youth stay on the right path and make wise decisions for their future.

One of the most impactful parts of the session was when we were tasked to create our own action plans — concrete steps on how we can provide a safe space for students and help lessen the rising cases of these concerns in our school community. Mrs. Dizon actively listened to our suggestions, valuing our ideas as contributions for future initiatives and programs.

The morning session of our Leadership Training, led by the SSLG in collaboration with PFC, began with a meaningful devotion facilitated by Devine Grace Paet. She left us with a powerful reminder:
“A true leader is not measured by power, but by kindness.” 🤍

We were truly honored to learn from our inspiring guest speaker, Ms. Lea Ferden Ozzy Agustin, who shared insightful lessons about leadership beyond the title. She emphasized that leadership is not defined by position, but by character. Through engaging discussions and activities, she guided us in discovering the qualities of a good leader and encouraged us to express our commitment to serve our school with integrity and dedication.

One of the most meaningful activities was when we wrote our thoughts about leadership on different parts of the body in a paper — 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭, 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝, 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐭, and more — symbolizing compassion, wisdom, action, and purpose in leadership. 💙

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our School Principal IV, Dr. Julian B. James Jr., and our School Focal Person, sir Isabelo Visaya Jr., for allowing us to conduct this Leadership Training. Your support, trust, and guidance made this initiative possible.

To conclude the session, our energetic masters of ceremony, Angielyn Canapi and John Wilfred Martin, facilitated an interactive game that allowed student leaders to reflect, share their perspectives, and deepen their understanding of true leadership.

𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗔 #4: 𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗘'𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬 💘

Valentine’s Day is believed to be named after Saint Valentine, a priest who lived during the time of the Roman Empire. According to legend, he secretly performed marriages for young couples after Emperor Claudius II banned them, believing single men made better soldiers. Because of his defiance in the name of love, he was executed and later honored as a symbol of romance and devotion.

The celebration of romantic love on Valentine’s Day became more popular in the Middle Ages, especially after the works of Geoffrey Chaucer. His poetry in the 14th century linked the day with courtly love, helping shape the tradition of expressing affection through written messages. In fact, the oldest known Valentine’s greeting dates back to 1415, showing that love letters have long been part of the holiday.

One of the most recognizable symbols of Valentine’s Day is Cupid, the Roman god of love. While often portrayed today as a small cherub with wings and a bow, Cupid was originally seen in mythology as a powerful deity who could make people fall in love with a single arrow. Red roses are also strongly associated with the holiday, as they symbolize deep love and passion and were linked to Venus, the Roman goddess of love.

Modern Valentine’s Day traditions grew even stronger in the 19th and 20th centuries. Companies like Hallmark began mass-producing greeting cards, making it easier for people to send affectionate messages. Around the same time, heart-shaped chocolate boxes became popular, turning sweets into a classic Valentine’s gift. Today, millions of cards, flowers, and chocolates are exchanged worldwide each February 14.

Valentine’s Day is celebrated differently across cultures. In Japan, for example, women traditionally give chocolates to men on February 14, and men return the gesture a month later on “White Day.” Whether through letters, gifts, or proposals, Valentine’s Day continues to be a meaningful occasion dedicated to expressing love and appreciation. 💞

Led by the 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀, the 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗦𝗦𝗟𝗚), together with 𝗬𝗘𝗦-𝗢, 𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠, and 𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻, joined hands for a meaningful tree planting activity at Del Pilar, Cabatuan.

Through teamwork and shared responsibility, the organizations planted trees that will serve as a symbol of hope, unity, and care for the environment. 🌿

Planting a tree today is a simple act that creates a lasting impact for the future. We encourage everyone to take part in protecting nature — start by planting a tree and help grow a greener and healthier community. 💚

The 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗦𝗦𝗟𝗚), together with the 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯, 𝗬𝗘𝗦-𝗢, 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀, 𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠, and 𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻, successfully conducted a Clean-Up Drive on February 7, 2026, covering the area from the CNHS junction to the church.

With unity and dedication, each organization took responsibility for their assigned areas, working hand in hand to promote cleanliness, discipline, and care for our surroundings. 🌱

Through simple acts of service, our student leaders proved that small efforts, when done together, create a big impact for the community. ✨

Established through 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼. 683, signed on 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 28, 1991 𝗯𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼, NAM honors the power of the arts in shaping our identity and nationhood. As we welcome National Arts Month 2026, the NCCA, together with the 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗼 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗮 𝗔𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗰., highlights the theme “𝗔𝗻𝗶 𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.” This theme celebrates art as a harvest born from truth, courage, and collective action—showing how creativity strengthens communities, promotes responsible governance, and inspires a sustainable and just society. Throughout the month, creativity comes alive through workshops, exhibits, performances, and community-based activities that spotlight both local and regional heritage. From traditional expressions like sayaw ng lahi to contemporary forms such as digital art, NAM champions inclusivity across generations and mediums. Street-level initiatives like “𝗞𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝘂𝗵𝗶𝘁” and “𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗼” bring art closer to the people, turning public spaces into living galleries.
