What is Magna Carta of Women (Republic Act No. 9710)?

The Magna Carta of Women (MCW) is a comprehensive women’s human rights law that seeks to eliminate discrimination through the recognition, protection, fulfillment, and promotion of the rights of Filipino women, especially those belonging to the marginalized sectors of society.
It is the local translation of the provisions of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women’s (CEDAW), particularly in defining gender discrimination, state obligations, substantive equality, and temporary special measures. It also recognizes human rights guaranteed by the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (ICESCR).

According to Amnesty International (2023) The SOGIE Equality Bill recognizes that inequalities stemming from prejudice and discrimination exist for everyone, and disproportionately affect LGBTQIA+ individuals. It affirms the fundamental rights of every person regardless of s*xual orientation and gender identity and expression; and aims to provide fair and equal opportunities for everyone in accessing basic social services, employment, education, healthcare, protection under the law, and justice while acknowledging and breaking down the barriers that exist for the most vulnerable groups.

"Priest can Bless Same-Sex Marriage"

Pope Francis formally permitted Roman Catholic priests to bless same-s*x couples on Monday, in a significant shift in the church’s approach to LGBTQ+ people.
The pope’s attempts to shift the church’s approach to LGBTQ Catholics began in 2013, when, in reply to a reporter’s question about gay clergy, he said: “Who am I to judge?”
Francis has indicated his support for the civil recognition of same-s*x couples, and sought to move the Vatican away from some of the harsh language it has used in the past about gay people. His support for legal recognition of gay couples – as distinct from marriage – moved the church in a different direction to a 2003 Vatican ruling, which said it was “necessary to oppose legal recognition of homos*xual unions.”

"Being Homos*xual isn't a crime"

In an interview with the Associated Press, Pope Francis says being homos*xual "isn't a crime" and that Catholic bishops should welcome members of the LGBTQ community into the church.

Its time to Break The Stigma!!!

Let MEN knows it's okay to talk about their mental health. People expect boys to be strong and never cry but some people don't realize that boys breakdown, boys cry, boys suffer, boys get upset, boys have feelings too. Just because they look though and act it doesn't mean they're happy and living the dream they're probably having the worst day and you wouldn't even know.

Because they are afraid girls might call him "GAY" or "KALALAKING TAO IYAKIN". Boys who cry are the bravest, They've been through a lot and in the end they just cry cause they can't hold the pain anymore but crying is totally normal, lets respect boys too

At the 72nd Miss Universe competition, transwomen Marina Machete( Miss Portugal) and Rikkie Kollé( Miss Netherlands) compete alongside other contestants in El Salvador.

Miss Universe Organization changed its rules in 2012 allowing transwomen to become part of the competition, a step towards inclusivity and breaking boundaries.

What is Ally?
Poirier (2015) define as a person who has a genuine, strong concern for the well-being of LGBT people and a person who supports and accepts LGBT people, and advocates for equal rights and fair treatment.

1. BE OPEN-MINDED
Being different doesn't mean wrong. We all have our own unique ways, but it's what makes us interesting!

2. FIGHT AGAINST HOMOPHOBIC
Homophobia means not liking someone just because they're gay. Let them know that it's hurtful to others and that it's not ok.

3. INCLUDE THEM
Invite your lgbtq friends to hang out with your non-lgbtq friends and family. Make them feel welcome.

4. REMEMBER THAT LOVE IS LOVE
When you saw two same s*x love each other, it's never a bad thing!

5. STAY INFORMED AND BECOME AN ALLY
An ally is someone who supports lgbtq people. Be that person: take some time to educate yourself about the lgbtq community
