Two organizations (IBPNE and GCI) which are close to Judge Trese’s heart partnered up to launch the first ever J13 CUP!

This October 16, 2026, the greens of Lakewood Golf & Country Club will once again witness a tournament played in honor of a man whose presence continues to inspire beyond the courts and onto the course — Judge Trese Wenceslao.

The J13 Cup is more than a tournament. It is a gathering of friends, lawyers, golfers, and leaders united by competition, camaraderie, and remembrance.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Nueva Ecija Chapter calls on all lawyers to take part in its continuing commitment to public service through the 𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐏 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐢𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐤, in compliance with ULAS and pursuant to the LODI program of IBP National.

Volunteer lawyers are invited to render free legal assistance at the following stations:

Talavera, Nueva Ecija — In its continued commitment to accessible and community-centered legal service, the IBP Nueva Ecija Chapter successfully conducted the HANEP Serbisyo: Legal Aid Series at Talavera National High School.

The activity provided free legal consultations to attendees, addressing common legal concerns and reinforcing the importance of informed citizenship.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Nueva Ecija Chapter (IBP NE) marked a significant milestone as it conducted its 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩-𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙪𝙩-𝙤𝙛-𝙩𝙝𝙚-𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 legal education initiative in support of the “𝗕𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗲 𝗸𝗮, 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱!” campaign.

In partnership with 𝗨𝗡 𝗦𝗗𝗦𝗡 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗡 𝗦𝗗𝗦𝗡 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, hosted by 𝗗𝗲 𝗟𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗞𝗖 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀,the activity titled “𝙆𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙞𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣, 𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙣 𝙄𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣: 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙖𝙬” aims to strengthen legal awareness and empower communities in addressing gender-based violence (GBV).

The session focused on key laws protecting women and children, including Republic Act No. 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, and Republic Act No. 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act (Bawal Bastos Law). Practical legal remedies and accessible steps for victim-survivors were also discussed to ensure that the law becomes a tangible tool for protection and justice.

Serving as resource speakers were 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙨. 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙤𝙗𝙧𝙚, IBP Gender and Development (GAD) Chairperson, and𝘼𝙩𝙩𝙮. 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖 𝘼. 𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙙-𝙒𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙤, member of IBP Nueva Ecija, who shared their expertise in bridging legal knowledge with community needs.

Through this initiative, IBP Nueva Ecija reaffirms its commitment to promoting access to justice, extending its services beyond provincial boundaries, and empowering individuals—especially women—with the knowledge necessary to assert and protect their rights.

IBP Nueva Ecija continues to stand at the forefront of legal advocacy, fostering informed communities and advancing the fight against gender-based violence.

We proudly mark our first-ever out-of-province Legal Aid Activity, a significant step in bringing legal services beyond our usual reach and closer to the communities that need them most. Through this initiative, we continue our mission of empowering women by raising awareness on their rights, strengthening access to justice, and providing guidance on available legal remedies.

This activity highlights our commitment to addressing issues on violence against women and children, gender-based violence, and other relevant laws—ensuring that every participant gains not only knowledge, but also the confidence to stand up for their rights and make informed decisions. Together, we move forward in building a more just, informed, and empowered society for all.
