The annual celebration designated by the United Nations recognizes the contributions of women and girls in the STEM disciplines worldwide. This year's theme, "Synergizing AI, Social Science, STEM and Finance: Building Inclusive Futures for Women and Girls," highlights its integration to the society as a four-pillar approach to accelerate inclusive and sustainable development.

DOST-PCAARRD has continually and fully supported the technologies and innovations driven by women and girls under the agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources (AANR) sector.

They were recognized for winning 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 for the 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 in the 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺, organized by the Central Luzon Health Research and Development Consortium (𝗖𝗟𝗛𝗥𝗗𝗖) and the Department of Health - Central Luzon Center for Health Development (𝗗𝗢𝗛-𝗖𝗟𝗛𝗥𝗗), held in Angeles City, Pampanga, on May 8–9, 2025.

Yesterday, For the first time in history, the 𝗡𝗘𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗕𝗦 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 program has achieved a 𝟭𝟬𝟬% 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 for first-time takers in the 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, with an overall passing rate of 83.33% — as 5 out of 6 examinees successfully passed the exam, comprising 4 first-time takers and 1 repeater.
This remarkable feat surpasses the national passing rate of 73.22% and marks a historic milestone for the program.

In addition, our alumni also attained a 𝟭𝟬𝟬% 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 for first-time takers in the 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, along with a 100% overall passing rate, once again exceeding the national passing rate of 83.98%.

This outstanding achievement would not have been possible without our hardworking alumni, 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹, 𝗗𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮, 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮, 𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗻𝘆, 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲, and 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗼 whose perseverance and commitment to excellence brought pride to the department, and our dedicated Chemistry faculty, whose unwavering guidance and support have shaped our students from mastering the fundamentals to conquering the board examinations.

As we celebrate this moment of triumph, our alumni were invited to share their stories, their preparation journeys, the challenges they overcame, and the words of wisdom and reflection that inspired them throughout their BS Chemistry journey and board exam experience.
