CABAGAN, ISABELA — Reflecting a commitment of recognition and patriotism, the Philippine National Police honored Police Master Sergeant Melvin C. Bentero during the regular Flag Ceremony at Cubag Integrated School on Monday, July 20, 2026.

The recognition was in line with a directive from the Regional Director of the PNP emphasizing the recognition of deserving PNP personnel who have children demonstrating commendable conduct, values, and achievements in school.

Police Major Mervin T. Villanueva, Chief of Police of the PNP Cabagan, together with Cubag Integrated School Principal Dr. Aida P. Tabug, formally presented the Certificate of Recognition to PMSg. Bentero during the ceremony attended by the school’s faculty and learners.

The recognition highlighted not only the dedication of PNP personnel to public service but also the important role of parents in guiding their children toward discipline, excellence, and responsible citizenship.

During the ceremony, PMAJ Villanueva also delivered an inspiring message to the learners, urging them to embody the true meaning of patriotism and good citizenship.“Be patriotic, be humane, and internalize the true meaning of the Panatang Makabayan,” PMAJ Villanueva emphasized.

He further reminded the learners that patriotism goes beyond reciting the pledge. It is demonstrated through everyday actions respecting others, obeying the law, showing discipline, and choosing to do what is right for the country.

The recognition of PMSg. Bentero served as a powerful reminder that public service extends beyond the uniform. It also reflects the values of responsibility, integrity, and family that contribute to the formation of responsible and patriotic citizens.

Through the collaboration of the PNP and the school community, the activity underscored the shared responsibility of institutions, parents, and educators in nurturing a generation that is patriotic, humane, disciplined, and committed to serving the nation.

Turned to Wonder

CABAGAN, Isabela | While discarded materials are often regarded as waste, they became remarkable expressions of creativity, environmental stewardship, and innovation as Cubag Integrated School earned prestigious recognition during the Trashionista 2026 competition held at the JTA Gymnasium today, June 26.

Seven secondary schools across the municipality competed in the event organized by the LGU Cabagan, showcasing eco-friendly costumes crafted entirely from recycled and reusable materials.

Representing Cubag Integrated School, Jhon Rill Alingod earned the title Mr. Environment Heritage, while Princess Zia P. Tarun secured the 4th Runner-Up title in the female category.

The winning creations were designed by Sir Jep Jan Ron M. Tumamao, who also served as one of the coaches together with Sir Mhars Quilang. The team was assisted by Aljun Bulan a Grade 10 student under the leadership of School Head, Dr. Aida P. Tabug.

The competition highlighted not only the contestants' confidence and creativity but also promoted environmental awareness by proving that discarded materials can be transformed into works of art, inspiring the community to embrace sustainability and responsible waste management.

CUBAG, CABAGAN, ISABELA- In line with the Department of Education's continuing efforts to ensure a smooth and effective opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027, an Education Program Specialist from the Regional Office of the Department of Education Region 2 conducted an official visit to Cubag Integrated School on June 9, 2026. The visit highlighted the school's readiness, learning environment, and commitment to delivering quality, accessible, and learner-centered education during the first week of classes. The activity also served as an opportunity to monitor educational programs, provide technical assistance, and strengthen collaboration among school leaders, teachers, and stakeholders in support of DepEd's mission of ensuring quality basic education for every Filipino learner. The visit coincides with DepEd Region 2's monitoring and evaluation activities related to the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027.

CUBAG, CABAGAN, ISABELA- Naging makabuluhan at inspirasyonal ang unang araw ng pasukan sa Cubag Integrated School matapos bumisita si Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) na si Dr. Janet B. Magusib upang personal na kumustahin at batiin ang mga mag-aaral at g**o ng paaralan.

Sa isinagawang meet-and-greet, hinikayat ni Dr. Magusib ang mga mag-aaral na pagtuunan ng pansin ang kanilang pag-aaral at maging huwaran sa pagpapakita ng disiplina sa loob at labas ng paaralan.

“Mag-focus kayo sa inyong pag-aaral, maging mabuti kayong mga mag-aaral, at isabuhay ninyo ang pagiging disiplinado upang makamit ang inyong mga pangarap,” ani Dr. Magusib.

Bukod sa kanyang mensahe, pinuri rin niya ang maayos, malinis, at kaaya-ayang kapaligiran ng paaralan. Ayon sa kanya, malinaw na makikita ang paghahanda ng administrasyon, mga g**o, at mga stakeholder para sa matagumpay na pagbubukas ng taong panuruan.

Ipinahayag din ni Dr. Magusib ang kanyang kasiyahan sa kabuuang ambiance ng paaralan at tiniyak na handa na ang Cubag Integrated School para sa mga hamon at oportunidad na hatid ng School Year 2026–2027.

Samantala, naging masigla at puno ng pananabik ang pagbabalik-eskuwela ng mga mag-aaral na sinalubong ng mga g**o sa isang ligtas, maayos, at learner-friendly na kapaligiran.

Sa patuloy na pagtutulungan ng paaralan, mga magulang, at komunidad, inaasahang magiging matagumpay at makabuluhan ang panibagong taong panuruan para sa lahat ng CISans’.
