✨ SOLO PARENTS WEEK: KNOWLEDGE & COMMUNITY SERVICE AT THE BARANGAY LEVEL! ✨
This Solo Parents Week, our celebration is all about meaningful actions and empowering our members! Instead of an extravagant gathering, the Cabadbaran City Solo Parent Homebased Workers Association dedicated its energy to making a real impact right here in our neighborhoods.
Here is how we spent our productive week:
🧹• Barangay-Level Clean-Up Drive: We put our hearts and hard work into cleaning our local streets, ensuring a safer and healthier environment for our children and families.
📘• RA 11861 Welfare Orientation: To ensure our members are protected and informed, we conducted an essential orientation on the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act (RA 11861)
• Our members learned about their updated rights, legal protections, and life-changing benefits, including:The ₱1,000 monthly social pension for qualified indigent solo parents.
• The 10% discount, and
• Priority access to educational scholarships, healthcare privileges, and government housing.
