📢 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍 | PYACCI Facilitates Parent-Teen Talk in Cabadbaran City!

The Pag-asa Youth Association Cabadbaran Chapter, Inc. (PYACCI) was honored to serve as facilitators during the recently concluded Parent-Teen Talk on Sexual and Reproductive Health held at the Social Hall.

This meaningful initiative was spearheaded by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) under the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC), in a powerful partnership with:
✅ PopCom
✅ City Health Office (CHO)
✅ DSWD 4Ps

As youth advocates, our team took the lead in facilitating interactive sessions and guided discussions for 4Ps NAS children and their parents. Our goal was to create a safe space where both generations could listen, understand, and connect on critical health issues affecting today’s youth. 🤝✨

We are grateful to our partner agencies for trusting PYACCI to help bridge the gap and foster healthier communication within our community.

The PYACCI 1st Bi-Monthly Meeting 2026 assembled successfully, focusing on accomplishments from January to February 2026, upcoming programs and initiatives to drive impact, acknowledgments of new PYACCI members, and essential reports. Together with Mr. France Berry Labrador (SWO III/LYDO), in attendance and presided over by the PYACCI Federation President, Ms. Cherry Lou H. 𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆 | 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙖𝙜-𝙖𝙨𝙖 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 - 𝘾𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙙𝙗𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙄𝙣𝙘. (𝙋𝙔𝘼𝘾𝘾𝙄) 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙮𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 ‘𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜-𝙁𝙤𝙧-𝘼-𝘾𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚’.

This activity was initially started from the previous years but was temporarily halted due to the struck of pandemic.

The activity initiated by the PYACCI has two main objectives; first, to raise money through caroling and second, to purchase and distribute food packs to less fortunate families in select barangays of the city.

The group, has in total, raised approximately 8,000 thousand pesos and has prepared 10 big food packs amounting to almost 800 pesos per good pack.

The Association is extending its warmest gratitude to all contributing individuals who made part in ensuring the success of the cause.

Finally, the Association is reminding everyone of the enduring essence of the yuletide season; the thought of giving, love, and compassion to one another.

The PYACCI had a meaningful and fulfilling time taking part in the U4U Teen Trail at the Northern Mindanao Colleges, Inc. (NORMI) Function Room, where we connected with 50 senior high school students through fun, interactive, and informative activities led by trained teen facilitators.

The day was filled with engaging learning stations, an inspiring plenary session, and a heartfelt community singing of “Hawak Kamay,” creating a safe space for connection, reflection, and growth—truly empowering the next generation to learn, share, and support one another.

Through open discussions and creative activities, participants gained valuable insights on healthy relationships, HIV prevention, teenage pregnancy prevention, and essential life skills, helping them become more informed and confident in making responsible decisions about their health and future.

By reaching both in-school and out-of-school adolescents, this initiative continues empowering the next generation with knowledge, skills, and values that inspire positive choices, responsible behavior, and hope for a brighter future for our youth and our community. 💙✨

PYACCI proudly took part in this year’s PAGHANDURAW celebration with the theme “Honoring the Past, Empowering the Youth, Shaping Cabadbaran’s Tomorrow.”

The Pag-asa Youth Association Cabadbaran Chapter, Inc. were truly honored to be recognized as the Outstanding Youth Organization. A testament to the hard work, passion, and dedication of every PYACCI member. This award inspires us to continue creating programs and initiatives that empower the youth and contribute to the development of our community.

We also extend our warmest congratulations to our PYAP President, Miss Cherry Lou H. Jovero, for earning the Youth Leadership and Governance Award. Her commitment, leadership, and service to the youth of Cabadbaran continue to shine and motivate us all.

PYACCI Joins the Juvenile Justice Administration (JJA) Dialogue and Year-End Program Review

The Pag-asa Youth Association of Cabadbaran City, Inc. (PYACCI) actively participated in the Juvenile Justice Administration (JJA) Dialogue and Year-End Program Review held last November 19–21 at Viel’s Place and Restaurant, Britania, San Agusan, Surigao del Sur.

It was a meaningful three-day engagement that strengthened partnerships, enhanced youth-led initiatives, and reinforced our commitment to advocating for the rights and welfare of children in conflict with the law.
